June 22, 2013 - As the worst floods seen in decades hits Southern Alberta, the Calgary MMA Community is reaching out to those affected.
Aggression Fighting Championship (AFC) has teamed up with Calgary retail store Hype Fight and Calgary MMA training facility Champions Creed to provide relief to those affected by the Southern Alberta floods.
Hype Fight and Champions Creed are going to be accepting donations of non-perishables, water, cleaning supplies, garbage bags, and other useful items.
AFC is offering a 10% discount on tickets to future AFC events in exchange for the donations. All items collected will be given to the Salvation Army to ease the burden to those affected.
Steve Fader, President of AFC, states that "if any gym is interested in setting up a donation box, we will extend the discount to them and will coordinate pick up and drop off of all the donated items."
AFC will also be collecting items at the AFC 19 event in Edmonton on July 5th and at the AFC 20 event in Calgary on July 19th
