BELLATOR OFFERS EVENTS FOR ONLINE VIEWING

Bellator Fighting Championships announced the exclusive launch of its English-language broadcast on Bellator.com beginning today, April 8, 2009, bringing Bellator’s explosive and exciting events directly to its English speaking fans. Each broadcast will be available at http://www.Bellator.com every Wednesday at 7 A.M. EST and will stream continuously from that point on, allowing fans to watch an entire fight card or just a piece of an entire event, while also having immediate access to stats, blogs and tournament standings. The broadcasts, consisting of the full commercial-free event coverage, are hosted by popular mixed martial arts (MMA) commentators/experts, Jon Anik and Jason Chambers who provide in-depth analysis during the entire Season 1 championship tournament.

The combination of ESPN’s MMA Live anchor, Anik and mixed martial artist/television personality Chambers brings a wealth of talent, personality and experience as well as in-depth inside-the-cage knowledge to every event. This tremendous on-air talent team provides MMA fans with the highest quality expert analysis for Bellator’s highly anticipated online premiere, and through each of the following 12 weeks’ broadcasts.

Bellator Fighting Championships’ premiere season consists of 12 two-hour events to be broadcast weekly in primetime on Saturday nights on ESPN Deportes, and the English broadcast will be available on Bellator’s website on Wednesdays starting at 7 A.M. EST. The events feature a combination of tournament and non-tournament special feature bouts. There are four simultaneous tournaments taking place in season #1 over a three-month period: one in each of the Featherweight (145 lb.), Lightweight (155 lb.), Welterweight (170 lb.) and Middleweight (185 lb.) divisions.
