The BAMMA World Lightweight title fight has been struck by injury as Jake Murphy withdraws from the bout against Curt Warburton, to be replaced by France's Mansour Barnaoui. News of the working replacement was broken exclusively on Inside MMA on AXS-TV last Friday, and can now be officially confirmed by BAMMA officials. Murphy sustained a shoulder which will require 10-12 weeks rehabilitation, according to his management. The new Lightweight title fight between Warburton and Barnaoui forms part of the main card at Mixed Martial Arts event, BAMMA 13 at Birmingham's National Indoor Arena on 14th September. French based Tunisian Mansour 'Tarzan' Barnaoui fights out of Team Magnum in Paris, with 9 victories and only 2 decision losses to his name. Barnaoui launched his professional MMA career with a 7 fight winning streak and the majority of his wins have come via submission with 2 by TKO. Barnaoui most recently defeated Russian Zulfikar Usmanov by Rear Naked Choke at M1 Global on 21st August.
Curt Warburton has been long awaiting his opportunity to fight for the BAMMA World Lightweight title. Originally slated for BAMMA 12, challenger Warburton's scheduled fight against champion Rob Sinclair was postponed due to Sinclair being injured. Warburton went on to fight Steven Ray instead in a BAMMA Lonsdale British title match up in which he defeated Ray. Before Warburton could meet Sinclair, the world champion vacated his title on signing with US promotion Bellator; and Warburton was pitted against American Jake Murphy for the vacant belt for BAMMA 13. Warburton originally commented on the bout:
"I'm looking forward to fighting for the world title... Having already been crowned BAMMA Lonsdale's British champ, I now look forward to being crowned the BAMMA World Champion too."
With new opponent Mansour Barnaoui on the horizon, Warburton said: "Different opponent, same outcome."
The match between Scott Askham and Jorge Michelan Luis Bezerra has been confirmed as a BAMMA World Middleweight title bout by BAMMA's VP of Talent Relations due to terms agreed in an extension of Askham's exclusive contract to BAMMA. Askham recently defeated BAMMA Lonsdale's former British Middleweight Champion, Jack Marshman. Marshman was given the opportunity to challenge Tom 'Kong' Watson at BAMMA 9 for the BAMMA World Middleweight title.

Adam Boussif replaces injured David Faulkner to face Leon Edwards at BAMMA 13. The Welterweight bout forms part of the preliminaries at the premier British Mixed Martial Arts event at Birmingham's National Indoor Arena on 14th September. Tickets are on sale at http://bit.ly/1bUZXbR.
Adam Boussif holds a Professional record of 3-1-0, with three of his victories achieved in under 1:22 via Guillotine Choke. His first loss came against undefeated Sean Carter via Submission earlier this year. The 24 year old fights out of Force MMA in Hertfordshire.
Birmingham's UTC fighter, Leon 'Rocky' Edwards, holds a Professional MMA record of 4-1-0, and was undefeated at Amateur and Semi-Pro over 7 fights. His one loss comes from a DQ for an illegal knee. Edwards faced Jonathan Bilton at 'BAMMA 11: Marshman vs. Foupa-Pokam' in December 2012 and won via TKO (Knees) just 1:11 into round 2. Boussif said:
"It's a great opportunity for me to fight on BAMMA. It's an amazing show, and when you look at the rest of the card it's one of the best cards of 2013. I am really pleased to get the opportunity to fight Leon. He's a great fighter and I expect a war as both of us come to finish. I can not wait for Sept 14th; it's going to be a blast!"

He holds the following Amateur titles: 2010 MMA League champion, 2010 Body Power champion, 2011 Ring Masters champion and 2012 Body Power champion.
Jefferson 'Ninja' George fights out of team Morefire in Luton with a professional MMA record of 2-1. Both victories have come via Submission and his one loss via Decision. The 23 year old's strengths areThai-boxing, BJJ and his athleticism.

Murrie vs Arish
West Yorkshire's Wayne 'Mayhem' Murrie holds a record of 16-5-1 and boasts a history of tough clashes against experienced opposition. With 12 of his fights ending in the first, Murrie has equally shown he can go the distance against names that include John Maguire and Peter Irving. With victories via KO, TKO and Submission, Murrie has defeated around half of his opponents via an array of Chokes. Murrie comes from a decorated Thai-boxing background and is currently ranked #11 in the UK and Irish MMA rankings.
Iranian born Mancunian, Ali Arish has earned a record of 20-2-0 against challenging competition. Arish has notched up 9 victories in the 1st round via KO, TKO and submissions; and 10 via Unanimous Decision, proving that he can also dominate over the distance. Arish is currently ranked #7 in the UK and Irish MMA rankings. The former Kaobon competitor now fights out of Moss Side GnP.
The fight marks the second time Murrie and Arish have faced off, as Arish previously defeated Murrie in a title contenders bout at OMMAC 10 in 2011, by first round KO. Murrie is hungry for revenge.
Arish said: "I am really looking forward to ultimately fighting for the BAMMA British welterweight belt. BAMMA is a great show to compete on and to show the world my skills. I have fought Wayne Murrie once before and he is a fantastic fighter. It will be an honour to step into the cage with him once again."
Murrie said: "Although he has a good level of BJJ, this is MMA & he is in the way of me getting to the top of this sport."
BAMMA's VP of Talent Relations, Jude Samuel, said:
"This could potentially be fight of the night. With Ali and Wayne signing long term deals with BAMMA, they both have a massive future with the organisation and plan to make their mark. Defeat for either of these guys is no option and especially as Wayne is looking to avenge that defeat and wipe it clean from his record."
Danny Missin vs Rany Saadeh
Danny 'Mini- Hulk' Missin enters the BAMMA cage with a fight record of 4-1. The West Yorkshire fighter has finished all his winning bouts before the third round until his first loss on decision to Huseyin Garabet. The Flyweight currently ranks at #19 in the UK and Irish MMA Rankings and the majority of his wins have come via Submission.
German Rany Saadeh matches Missin with a record of 4-1. With the majority of his victories via strikes (TKO and Submission to punches), Saadeh's last outing saw him claim the Made 4 the Cage title against Shamsul Haque as a late replacement.
