Matt Hughes Vs. Matt Serra Now Official For UFC 98

Postby NWOWolfpack » Tue Mar 03, 2009 11:48 pm

Press Release from http://www.UFC.com:

It's a grudge match that has boiled for close to two years, and finally, on Saturday, May 23rd, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, former UFC welterweight champions Matt Hughes and Matt Serra will meet on the undercard of the Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir heavyweight championship bout that headlines UFC 98.

Tickets for UFC 98: LESNAR vs. MIR 2, presented by Tequila CAZADORES, priced at $800, $600, $400, $250, $125 and $75, not including applicable service charges, go on sale Saturday, March 7 at 10 a.m. at all Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations (select Smith’s Food and Drug Centers and Ritmo Latino). Ticket sales are limited to eight (8) per person. To charge by phone with a major credit card, call Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000. Tickets also are available for purchase at http://www.ufc.com, http://www.mgmgrand.com or http://www.ticketmaster.com.

UFC® Fight Club™ members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to this event Thursday, March 5 at 10 a.m. PT via the website ufc.com. A special Internet ticket pre-sale will be available to UFC newsletter subscribers Friday, March 6 starting at 10 a.m. PT. To access this presale, users must register for the UFC newsletter through ufc.com.

Also made official for UFC 98 today is a main card bout pitting middleweight contenders Yushin Okami and Dan Miller against each other, as well as a pivotal
lightweight contest between former 155-pound champ Sean Sherk and New Jersey’s Frankie Edgar.

In off-TV action, someone’s likely to get knocked out when light heavyweight sluggers James “The Sandman” Irvin and Drew “The Massacre” McFedries collide. Speaking of knockout artists, light heavyweight Houston Alexander makes his long-awaited return against Andre Gusmao, and Patrick Barry takes on newcomer Tim Hague.

A lightweight bout will see The Ultimate Fighter finalist Phillipe Nover take on Louisiana’s Kyle Bradley, and TUF alumni “Diamond” Dave Kaplan and George Roop will also lock horns in 155-pound action before welterweights Yoshiyuki Yoshida and Brandon Wolff take to the Octagon.

.......WAR Hughes..............
What do you expect? The comedian is dead.
