Randy vs. Fedor? October 2008

Randy Couture was interviewed by Ron Kruk tonight during the HDNet Fights broadcast from Dallas, Texas. Randy was there in support/coaching roll for Xtreme Couture fighters, including Frank Trigg. Randy said he hopes to fight Fedor Emelianenko as early as October 2008.

"Unless the UFC wants to do a co-promotion with M-1 and make the Fedor fight happen, I'm going to have to wait 'til my contract expires," Couture said. "I have no intention of breaching that contract; that expires in July. My employment contract expires with them in October. So I would assume the soonest you'd see me fight Emelianenko would be in October."

In all it is a long time to wait but if it happens that would be SWEET!!

Definitely excited to see the fight. Too bad it doesn't look like they will be able to do it sooner.
