The first ever UFC on Versus show on Sunday night turned out to be a rousing success for the growing sports cable network as the live broadcast brought in an average of 1.24 million viewers for the show.
Versus announced the numbers for the UFC broadcast on Tuesday, while also winning in the key 18-34 year old male demographic coming in second overall in ratings. The overall rating for the show came in at a 1.1 for the live televised broadcast.
The highest rating for the show peaked at 1.4 million viewers, and at a 1.3 National HH rating for the broadcast.
The UFC's inaugural show on the Versus network is a new partnership spawning from a deal the two companies reached last year, in conjunction with a continued deal that showcases World Extreme Cagefighting, the sister organization of the UFC, on the network as well.
The Versus network can be seen in over 75 million homes, and just last week prior to the UFC's debut broadcast, the network and satellite giant DirecTV came to a new agreement. The network was dropped from DirecTV due to contract negotiations stalling, but now Versus is back.
