A shuffle to which UFC President Dana White recently alluded is now official, and a highly anticipated matchup between Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva now takes place July 5 in Las Vegas at UFC 175, while Junior dos Santos vs. Stipe Miocic replaces that fight as the headliner for May’s UFC Fight Night 42 in Brazil. White today revealed the moves to Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports though an exact reason for the moves wasn’t given.

Re: The Ultimate Fighter Brasil 3 Finale - Fight Card Update
Junior Dos Santos is out of the UFC Fight Night: Dos Santos vs. Miocic main event after suffering an injury on Monday during his preparation for a showdown with No. 7 heavyweight Stipe Miocic on May 31 in his home country of Brazil.
Dos Santos, coming off a loss against UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez in his bid to regain the title, is the No. 2 ranked heavyweight and was looking to get back on track against Miocic, who has won his last two fights against Roy Nelson and Gabriel Gonzaga.
UFC officials are working quickly to address the situation, but no replacement for Dos Santos has been tabbed at this time. Make sure to check back at www.UFC.com for more information as it becomes available.

Re: The Ultimate Fighter Brasil 3 Finale - Fight Card Update
The TUF Brazil 3 finale on May 31 has a new main event.
Popular Brazilian slugger Fabio Maldonado will make a move north to the heavyweight division on Saturday, May 31, as he replaces the injured Junior Dos Santos in a five-round main event bout against Stipe Miocic. Maldonado, a former pro boxer, is in the midst of a three-fight winning streak, most recently defeating Gian Villante in March. In Miocic, he will face a former Golden Gloves champ who has defeated Gabriel Gonzaga and Roy Nelson in his last two bouts. The FOX Sports 1 card, which will take place at the Ginasio do Ibirapuera in Sao Paulo, also features the heavyweight and middleweight finals of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3.

Re: The Ultimate Fighter Brasil 3 Finale - Fight Card Update
A change to the TUF Brazil 3 Finale card on May 31.
An injury to former Ultimate Fighter winner Diego Brandao has forced him out of his May 31 bout against Brian Ortega. There will be no replacement bout, and the TUF Finale Brazil 3 card, which is headlined by the heavyweight matchup between Stipe Miocic and Fabio Maldonado, will now proceed with 12 bouts.
