K.J. Noons Refuses Rematch with Nick Diaz

According to sources close to Nick Diaz, Elite XC Lightweight Champion K.J. Noons has refused a rematch with Nick Diaz. Their previous fight on November 10, 2007 resulted in a victory for Noons after a doctor stoppage due to cuts above Diaz’s eyes.

After consulting a doctor, Diaz decided to have plastic surgery to remove scar tissue and reduce his brow bones which made him more prone to cuts. Diaz is scheduled to face Muhsin Corbbrey on April 26, 2008 at Elite XC’s show in Hawaii.

Yves Edwards VS KJ Noons Set For April

The following message was posted on the American Top Team website today confirming an April 26th Lightweight Title Bout for the 160lbs belt between EliteXC champion KJ Noons and challenger Yves Edwards. The next EXC card is scheduled to take place in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Just confirmed ATT's Yves Edwards will be fighting EliteXC 160# Champion KJ Noons April 26th in Hawaii for the title!

This is a great opportunity for Yves who is currently riding a 3 fight win streak since joining American Top Team. Yves scored a tremendous highlight reel KO over a very talented and tough fighter in Edson Berto last weekend.

Yves will be back here training in Coconut Creek, FL. to prepare for his title fight. We look forward to helping Yves prepare for his title fight and bring the belt home!
