Cro Cop: There Will Be A Rematch

The best Croatian fighter in Ultimate Fight, Mirko Filipovic has returned from Japan with visible consequences from his fight with the Dutchman Alistair Overeem. The battle that was stopped did not leave anybody indifferent, but luckily Mirko does not have serious problems from the hit to his genitals.

“I apologise for my sunglasses, I have stitches on my head, I am disappointed with the result of the match because I was excellently prepared for this match. The third hit was very hard and it has given my small complications. I had to undergo a small operation later, but it is that kind of a job” said Filipovic.

After the match stories emerged that said Overeem did it intentionally, but the Croatian did not want to comment that argument.

“I do not want to say if it was intentional or accidental, if it was in the heat of the fight or not. We will fight, we will have a rematch for New Year. Some have said that I was saved by that break, but that is not correct. Despite the blood, those were small wounds, two stitches on the forehead, and I really was not injured besides those hits to the genitals, especially the third one. My guard moved and it squeezed me. I am sorry, and so is he. We have already agreed in principle about it, but it has not been confirmed 100 percent” said Cro Cop.

Mirko admitted that the fight was not good for him up until the moment of the break, but considers that the Dutchman did not have a very large advantage.

“He had initiative, especially after the first fall. I had a small knee injury and could not throw him off me, because both legs are needed for that. That was not worrying for me, I was only afraid that the referee would end it. Overeem started well, but his condition is his disadvantage. I will not say too much, we will repeat the match” said Filipovic.

Mirko presented his further plans. His next match should be for the New Year, against the Dutchman Overeem, and before him now is resting.

“I will first rest and go to the hospital. I urinated a little blood, but that is all a part of the sport. Maybe people are wrong, maybe they are right when they say that I am finished” concluded Mirko.

i know this has been already said but i still can't understand how different Mirko is while in ring............i mean he is completely another person when on training comparison while in ring.......i always hated this mental weakness of Mirko...if he would have had the mental strength of Randy or Fedor then he would be king of HW's for sure, 'cause his physical predisposition are just incredible (and believe me he knows how to kick and hit-punch).............BUT it appears that every time the fight doesn't start as planed Mirko's other self (like he's schizophrenic )pups up......the only time when Mirko oppress that other self was during Pride OW GP

however he was reason i fall in love with fight sports and for that i'll always be his fan no matter what - i owe him that

so prepare yourself for new sig bitch

Agree with most of what you say.......................and Overeem will beat him in December!!
