Rick Roufus:
“I fought Mo back in 2003 during a K-1 event and I beat him good that time and kept him off balance but this time it is a different game since it is the mixed martial arts world. He is telling everyone that he is going to stand with me again but I am no fool. I have been preparing for some months now for the ground game so I’ll go wherever he wants to take it. I have got two bricks for hands.”
Maurice Smith:
“I foresee a good fight with him doing a lot of running in the first round. He is in a no lose situation since this is his first fight in MMA. On the ground there is no way that he can beat me but he is a striker and he has the potential to knock me out. We are about 50/50 as far as kickboxing skill but if it goes to the ground he won’t beat me.”
Frank Trigg:
“With Sapp and Nortje, they are so big at 356 and 333. In smaller weights that difference would mean something but with the mass of these two it is not that much. Nortje is obviously the more experienced kickboxer and Sapp is more experienced at MMA. It will be interesting to see what happens because is usually someone that can’t control his emotions during the fight. He says he has that under control know so this should be a really good fight. I don’t see it going past the 1st round, if Bob gets him on the ground he can GNP or submit Nortje. If it stays standing, Jan will probably win and break one of Bob’s legs with a nice thigh kick.”
