After wins in three of his last four bouts, Brazilian lightweight Francisco "Massaranduba" Trinaldo will make his United States debut at UFC 173 on May 24, as he has verbally agreed to face Ultimate Fighter season 15 winner Michael Chiesa in Las Vegas. Trinaldo, who competed on season one of TUF Brazil, is coming off a split decision win over Jesse Ronson in February. Chiesa is fresh from a win as well, picking up Submission of the Night honors for his November victory over Colton Smith.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos will make his long-awaited return to the Octagon on Saturday, May 24, as he faces fellow contender Stipe Miocic in a UFC 173 bout at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Brazil's Dos Santos held the heavyweight crown from November 2011 to December 2012, and since then he's gone 1-1, knocking out Mark Hunt in May of 2013, and losing his rubber match against Cain Velasquez last October. Ohio's Miocic is currently sporting a two fight winning streak, decisioning Roy Nelson and Gabriel Gonzaga.
