Johnson vs Bagautinov Official for UFC 174 in Vancouver

The Ultimate Fighting Championship makes its long-awaited return to Vancouver when the world's No.5-ranked pound-for-pound mixed martial artist, UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, faces Russian contender Ali Bagautinov at Rogers Arena on Saturday, June 14. The UFC announced today that tickets for this five-round championship bout go on sale to the general public on Saturday, April 26 at 10 a.m. PST.

At 27 years old, Johnson (19-2-1, fighting out of Parkland, Washington) is one of the fastest and most technically sound fighters on the planet. Making his fifthtitle defense, he is the first flyweight champion in UFC history and is currently riding a six-fight unbeaten streak (5-0-1).

Meanwhile, Bagautinov (13-2, fighting out of Dagestan Republic, Russia) is undefeated in his UFC tenure after earning impressive wins against Marcos Vinicius, Tim Elliott, and John Lineker en route to his flyweight title shot. The 28-year-old has recorded 11 straight wins since 2011, finishing seven of his opponents in the process.

In addition to the flyweight title bout, two top-ranked welterweights will battle for title contention in Vancouver when the division's second-ranked competitor and Quesnel, B.C.-born Rory MacDonald (16-2, fighting out of Montreal) meets the explosive Tyron Woodley (13-2, fighting out of St. Louis, Missouri), who's the fourth-ranked UFC welterweight.

Other bouts for UFC 174 include:

· Vancouver's Kajan Johnson (19-10-1) vs. lightweight Tae Hyun Bang (16-8).
· Montreal bantamweight Yves Jabouin (19-9) vs. stand up specialist Mike Easton (13-4).
· Winnipeg's Roland Delorme (9-2, 1 NC) vs. Japanese bantamweight Michinori Tanaka (9-0).
· Japan's Kiichi Kunimoto (16-5-2, 1 NC) vs. Brazilian welterweight Daniel Sarafian (9-4).

Vancouver will be host to an important light heavyweight showdown on June 14, as Ryan Bader meets up with Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante at UFC 174 at Rogers Arena. Winner of four of his last six bouts, Bader is coming off a dominant three round win over Anthony Perosh last December. Former Strikeforce champion Cavalcante picked up his first UFC win last November, finishing Igor Pokrajac in just 78 seconds.

Jimmo vs. OSP open up the UFC 174 main card in June.

Two light heavyweights coming off recent Performance of the Night efforts, Ryan Jimmo and Ovince Saint Preux, will look to thrill fight fans once again on June 14, when they meet in the UFC 174 main card opener in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Canada's Jimmo knocked out Sean O'Connell on the TUF Nations Finale card in April, earning a Performance of the Night bonus, his first post-fight award since his seven-second knockout of Anthony Perosh in 2012. Winner of 12 of his last 13, including four straight, Saint Preux used an 89-second Von Flue choke finish of Nikita Krylov at UFC 171 in March to pick up his third UFC win and first Performance of the Night check.

Two newcomers to the UFC women's bantamweight division will enter the Octagon for the first time at UFC 174 on Saturday, June 14, as Elizabeth Phillips takes on Canada's own Valerie Letourneau. Letourneau originally replaced Germaine de Randamie on this Saturday's card in Vancouver, BC, Canada, against Milana Dudieva. But with Dudieva removed from the card and now expected to be rescheduled for a later date, Spokane's Phillips has been tabbed to face the Canadian at Rogers Arena.
