Recent Elite XC recruit Carina Damm has tested positive for Nandrolone, an anabolic agent, following her April 3 fight under the Fatal Femmes Fighting banner in Los Angeles according to the California State Athletic Commission.
Damm, who submitted Sophie Bagherdai, has received a twelve-month suspension running through April 2, 2009, as well as a $2,500 fine.
Damm was expected to debut with EXC on June 27 against Debi Purcell. She reportedly signed a three-fight deal with the promotion.
Following her April 3 fight, and prior to the positive test, Damm also fought for Freestyle Combat Challenge in Wisconsin where she won by knockout in only eleven seconds.
