Arlovski to Jump Ship with New Management
Several sources close to PDG have confirmed that former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski is preparing to move on to new management, specifically with Monte Cox and crew.
The news comes amidst rumors, speculation, and confusion over where Arlovski will continue his mixed martial arts career.
Sources state that, like former UFC champion Tim Sylvia, Arlovski is set to depart the UFC one-fight early. Also like Sylvia, Arlovski is expected to sign a non-exclusive deal with Adrenaline MMA, which Cox is president.
The information also lends weight to the speculation that Arlovski will be facing IFL veteran Ben Rothwell at the upcoming inaugural Affliction MMA event. While Rothwell is managed by Cox, pitting the two against each other despite conflicts of interest bolsters the promotion’s debut card and allows each fighter to move on against top opposition.
