The weights are in the books for Cage Warriors “Enter the Rough House 7” with most of the fighters making weight and a few that will have to weigh in tomorrow morning at the venue. There is a sense of calm surrounding the event with all the fighters in a good mood despite the typical rainy British summer.
Paul McVeigh and Steve McCombe were sharing jokes with each other ahead of their bantamweight title fight tomorrow, even leading up to the face off where McVeigh was mourning the disappearance of his abs after re-hydrating after spending his time in the sauna to make weight.
Paul Daley and Bojan Kosednar weighed in without issues, Daley meeting his highly regarded opponent for the first time, commenting, “I have seen his fights and he appears to be a good guy, but I feel I have been training with a better camp and that he doesn’t present any problems for me.”
Simeon Thoresen and Matt Thorpe exchanged few words, with the Norwegian being poised to make a move to the Dream promotion after this event, Thorpe wants to scupper those plans stating, “I want to spoil those plans; I want to go out there, win this fight impressively.”
