DREAM event producer Keiichi Sasahara had a press conference in Tokyo on January 22.

DREAM is planning to hold the featherweight tournament by 16 fighters and welterweight tournament by 8 fighters this year. The 1st round of the featherweight tournament starts at Saitama Super Arena on March 8. The weight limit will be around 62~64kg. Sasahara denied the rumor which Norifumi “KID” Yamamoto didn't participate in the tournament. “His past achievement is outstanding, so he will be seeded directly into the 2nd round even if he is not ready for the 1st round.”

Sasahara also talked the possibility of starting the welterweight tournament in March as well. “In case we start the welterweight tournament in March, we will have 4 featherweight tournament fights in March and the rest in April. All participants will be announced next week.”

Shinya Aoki, Tatsuya Kawajiri, Gegard Mousasi, Sergey Kharitonov and Jason 'Mayhem' Miller will fight in DREAM.7.
