LISTER CONFIRMS RETURN AT UFC 79

Dean Lister, one of the top grapplers in the world, confirmed that he is returning to mixed martial arts competition and the Ultimate Fighting Championship on Dec. 29 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. He will face Jordan Radev in a middleweight bout.

"I will give him a special welcome to the weight class," Lister promised his opponent.

Radev, a Bulgarian Olympic wrestler, reawakens at middleweight after going to sleep courtesy of a Drew McFredies right hand in a light heavyweight fight at UFC Fight Night 10 on June 12.

"Each fighter reacts differently to a loss," Lister explained. "Some guys get gun shy and some come out more determined than ever. You don’t go into a fight assuming anything...
