Fedor's Opponent Revealed For M-1 Debut On New Year's Eve

According to a report made on a Sherdog.com radio broadcast, Fedor Emelianenko will battle Hong-Man Choi in his M-1 Global debut on New Year's Eve.
Hong-Man Choi is a 7'2'', 352 lb. kickboxer with K-1 experience, who has had one pro MMA fight for K-1 back on New Year's Eve of 2006 against an actor named Bobby Ologun.
Hong-Man was set to battle the debuting Brock Lesnar for the K-1/EliteXC co-promotion back in June of 2007, but was not medically cleared for the fight.
Although he competed recently in a Sambo tournament (which was a circus in and of itself) this will be Fedor's first pro MMA fight since defeating the 185 lb. Matt Lindland (in what some would say was controversial fashion) in April of 2007 for BodogFIGHT.
This is only going to give Dana White more fuel for his "Fedor is a farce" argument, as many would have hoped for more of a challenge for Fedor in his debut with a promotion that launched with a lot of hype around itself a few weeks ago.
Names such as Pedro Rizzo and Jeff Monson were mentioned as possible opponents for his debut, but instead we'll be treated to another "freak show" as the universally top-ranked Heavyweight will be challenged by a kickboxer with one pro MMA victory against a non-fighter.
