Strikeforce events at the Playboy Mansion are a thing of the past.
It’s been two years since the San Jose-based mixed martial arts promotion put on an event outdoors in Hugh Hefner’s backyard and according to Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker that was the last.
When asked if he plans to take Strikeforce back to the storied property, Coker replied, “Probably not.”
“It would be too difficult to do it outside in an environment like that,” explained Coker. “What if it rained or what if something happened? And they just don’t have the technology like in a modern building like you see here today.”
Coker looks back on those two events with fond memories, but feels the organization has surpassed the production level possible at the Playboy Mansion.
“When we did that it was a lot of fun,” Coker told the media during the “Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Noons II” post-fight press conference. “We did it a couple of times before we were with Showtime.
“If you look at the production level of what we’re doing now compared to before we had a television deal, it’s just such a big difference.”
The mansion built on centerfolds hosted two Strikeforce events with the first debuting in 2007 and the final one held in September of 2008.

I agree with Coker for once, the production was shit at the house and no chicks were topless during the show.
