A day after learning that former UFC champions Andrei Arlovski and Jens Pulver would be making their One FC debuts in August, we have two more bouts to add to the promotion’s debut in the Philippines.

Former Dream champion Bibiano Fernandes, who recently signed with the promotion as well, has his first opponent in Gustavo Falciroli. UFC veteran Phil Baroni is also returning to the One FC fold for a fight against Rodrigo Ribeiro.

Both bouts are slated for One FC 5: Pride of a Nation on Aug. 31 in Quezon City, Philippines.

Fernandes (11-3) was a sought after free agent when Dream folded, the UFC and One FC both coming at him with offers, but he eventually decided to go with the Asian promotion, having spent the majority of his career fighting in Japan.

It will have been a bit of a layoff for Fernandes, who hasn’t fought since winning two fights in one night on Dec. 31 to become the Dream bantamweight champion.

He faces a difficult test for his first One FC bout in Gustavo Falciroli. Fighting out of Australia, Falciroli (12-3) has a strong submission game and has never been finished in his three defeats.

Baroni (14-15) will be making his second stop under the One FC banner, having lost to Yoshiyuki Yoshida when the promotion debuted last September in Singapore.

He was supposed to have fought Roger Huerta at One FC 4 in June, but suffered a TKO loss just three weeks prior to that event, and One FC didn’t want to risk his health.

Baroni squares of with Ribeiro, who carries a similar 9-9 record, but unlike “the New York Badass” brings a strong submission game to the table. He trains alongside Shinya Aoki and several other One FC fighters at Evolve MMA.

A group of new fights have been confirmed for possibly the biggest ONE FC show yet coming up in August in the Philippines.

Among the fights confirmed for the upcoming ONE FC: Pride of a Nation card are three Gracie brothers all competing on the same night.

Heavyweight Rolles Gracie returns to action after a successful ONE FC debut to face Australian submission specialist Tony Bonello.

His brother Igor Gracie will make his ONE FC debut on the same night when he faces Jung Hwan Cha, while the third Gracie on the card will be Gregor Gracie as he looks to bounce back from a stunning loss in his last ONE FC fight when he faces Nicholas Mann.

“Rolles, Igor and Gregor Gracie have never trained so hard for a fight in their lives. All three of my students understand that ONE FC in Manila will be the largest MMA event in the history of the Philippines,” said Renzo Gracie, who trains all three of the Gracie fighters.

“They are embracing this experience whole-heartedly and are training exceptionally hard to achieve victory in front of 16,500 fans. The fans in Manila will get the chance to see the next generation of the Gracie family dominate the world of MMA once again.”

Also added to the upcoming ONE FC show is a bout between Eduard Folayang and two-time ONE FC veteran Felipe Enomoto.

Both fighters will be looking to get back on track after losses in each of their last fights respectively.
