Havok's Next-Gen Physics Powering inFAMOUS Second Son On the PlayStation 4 system


Havok, a leading provider of 3D interactive game development technology, announced today that its next generation physics engine is powering inFAMOUS Second Son, the recently released PlayStation 4 exclusive video game title from Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA).

Havok’s next generation physics technology has been re-architected from the ground up to offer developers a smoother performance profile, enhanced run-time and reduced memory footprint enabling maximum physical fidelity with unprecedented performance.

The development team at Sucker Punch Productions has made full use of Havok’s latest physics technology in conjunction with their in-house engine to bring the highly interactive world to life, where seamless collision detection, as well as realistic simulation of objects, debris are controlled by Havok’s next-gen physics technology.
