New PlayStation 3 Firmware Updates
The PlayStation 3 firmware has had a shaky history with gamers, with recent updates removing Linux compatibility and causing massive hardware issues as a result. Despite these setbacks, Sony’s newest version is sure to make somebody happy, since it adds PlayStation Plus subscription functionality, a video editor and uploader (for those trying to post on YouTube or Facebook), a rating system for content from the PlayStation Store, a PSN Facebook application, and new power save settings. Details on version 3.40 were revealed in a post on the official PlayStation blog.
