Assault Armies conquering Japan!

The biggest and most developed game of the Krakow developer – Bloober Team S.A. has its première in Japan today. Assault Armies was specially designed for the new SONY console – PlayStation Vita. The video game met with a warm response from the Asian media.

The début of the game was preceded by an intensive marketing campaign conducted by the Bloober Team’s Japanese partner – Kemco [Kotobuki Solutions]. The production has already been described by the most popular directories, including the prestigious weekly Famitsu, which granted the Assault Armies with an annotation “Famitsu recommends”. In the last days, the promotional activity has even speeded up, which resulted in huge interest in the title among the Japanese players even before its première.

Assault Armies is not a game for everyone. You can define it as a platform logic game, which is held in a specific, sort of old school, climate. The authors intended to create a title which would satisfy the needs of players enjoying to spend long hours on making out the best way to beat a level. It is easy to notice the inspiration with such titles as Lost Vikings or Lemmings. The target group are those who recall with fondness the productions which were something more than just showing off the graphic skills. Surely, the Assault Armies will rather raise interest of the true players than the interest of fans of the simple arcade games, which are now dominant on the market. Bloober Team resisted the temporary trends and fashions and bet on intelligent and absorbing entertainment.

Before launching the product on the market, the game was carefully verified during closed beta tests. The results of the marketing research were extremely satisfactory – the players liked the Assault Armies.

The newest product of the Krakow developer is the first title that fits in the new strategy of the company. Bloober Team is going to make use of the gained experience and the developed technology in creating next productions of this type – the highest quality 2D video games.

Assault Armies is available in digital distribution via the Sony PSN network and costs 1980 yens (app. 20 Euro). The European and more developed version of the game entitled A-men will be available in digital distribution from 22 February, i.e. on the première day of PS Vita in this region. The price of A-men has not been established yet.
