10 Questions With Seth Dikun (by Darrick Patrick)

Seth "2 Quik" Dikun is a professional mixed martial artist who has appeared in organizations such as World Extreme Cagefighting, Palace Fighting Championship, Chaos In The Cage, JG Promotions, California Xtreme Fighting, PRIMAL MMA, Fist Series, and Total Fighting Alliance. At the time of this interview, his next scheduled match is against Rolando Perez in World Extreme Cagefighting at WEC 41: Brown vs. Faber 2 on June 7th, 2009.

Darrick: What was the journey that led you to professional mixed martial arts competition?

Seth: When I was in the Army, I got into a fight with my platoon sergeant. He was a big ass dude and I whooped him. Well, apparently he got a mental trip about it because he then started training MMA at a local gym. Two years later, I was about to have a PCS which means I was going to another duty station. He came up to me and asked me to fight him again before I left. So, I went to his gym, put on the gloves, and whooped him again. The guys at the gym said I was pretty good and could make money doing it. I have always loved to fight, so the rest is history.

Darrick: Who are a few of the people in the sport that you highly respect?

Seth: Yves Edwards and Shinya Aoki are a couple of my favorite fighters. Whether they win or lose, they are both always entertaining to watch.

Darrick: Your next scheduled fight is against Rolando Perez on June 7th. What are your thoughts about this upcoming match?

Seth: Rolando is a tough dude with hands for days. It's going to be a good fight. I am going to stand in the pocket and try to take his head off his shoulders.

Darrick: Any words of advice for other individuals looking to train in MMA?

Seth: Don't talk about it, be about it. Go ahead and give it a shot.

Darrick: What brings you the most fulfillment out of martial arts?

Seth: For me it's the competition.

Darrick: Who are some of the people that greatly influenced you while growing up?

Seth: My whole family has been a big influence to me. I've had my ups and downs while growing up, but my people were always there.

Darrick: Outside of MMA, what are your other interests?

Seth: I enjoy spending time with my daughters. Brianna is eight years old and Kayla is just eight months old. And of course I love being with my sexy wife.

Darrick: Tell us something about you that most people don't know.

Seth: Not coming up with anything at the moment - try me again another time.

Darrick: If you had three wishes, what would they be?

Seth: Mo' money, mo' money, and mo' money!

Darrick: What is your oldest memory?

Seth: I'm not sure, I really can't remember.
