Din Thomas trains to fight anywhere and anytime. Din had four fights scheduled for this year, but unfortunately, only two materialized. He trained hard for three months to fight Joe Pearson, although that fight got canceled a week before the event. Then he started training for Javier Vasquez, and that fight did not happen either. After a lot of training and not fighting, Thomas decided to take some time off to get other aspects of his life going.
Thomas, a long time fan of the smaller guy in fights, is currently working with David Roy to turn Roy's book, 1001 Submissions into a home video. Thomas is filming ten-hour days to get the DVD out by November 1st. "Right now we are just pushing and pushing and pushing. Filming ten hour days and it is crazy."
Thomas doesn't do anything lightly. "You know, I am the type of guy that when something comes up, I'm gonna do it. You know. I just try to do everything to the best of my ability."
The reasoning behind going full force stems from his high school days; "Every year I quit football and just didn't pursue it, I would quit every year. I wasn't that competitive then. I think I am a late bloomer and that helps with my motivation."
