10 Questions With Roger Hollett (by Darrick Patrick)
Roger "The Hulk" Hollett is a professional mixed martial artist who has competed in organizations such as Maximum Fighting Championship, Heat XC, Ringside MMA, Extreme Cage Combat, and Warrior-1 MMA. At the time of this very short interview, his next scheduled match is against John Hawk in Bellator Fighting Championships at BFC 57 on November 12th, 2011.
Darrick: What was the road that led you to professional mixed martial arts competition?
Roger: I initially came from a boxing background and was introduced to mixed martial arts by my friends.
Darrick: Who are a few of the people in the sport that you highly respect?
Roger: I respect my coaches and teammates. Without them, I wouldn't be able to do what I do.
Darrick: Do you have any words of advice for other individuals looking to compete in MMA?
Roger: Go study to be a doctor.
Darrick: Your next scheduled fight is against John Hawk on November 12th. What are your thoughts about this upcoming match?
Roger: John Hawk is in my way of being in the tournament. He will be made an example of as to what is going to happen to the rest of them.
Darrick: What brings you the most fulfillment out of martial arts?
Roger: Punching and kicking people, as well as the thrill of competition.
Darrick: Who are some of the people that greatly influenced you while growing up?
Roger: My parents, friends, and family. They stuck beside me in the worst of times.
Darrick: Outside of MMA, what are your other interests?
Roger: Going to the park with my girlfriend and our dogs, watching movies, and slapping people for fun.
Darrick: If you had 24 hours left to live, how would you spend that time?
Roger: I would want to spend that time with the people who helped me live out my dreams.
Darrick: Tell us something about you that most people don't know.
Roger: I work at Wilson Titanium Products. I'm in the process of getting my welding ticket.
Darrick: What is your oldest memory?
Roger: I'm really not sure, I get hit in the head a lot.
