Does Assasins Creed Live up to the Hype??

Postby PrototypeMike » Thu Nov 15, 2007 1:04 am

As well as most, I have been really looking forward this game. However after reading some reviews I came across a lot of negitive points about the game. Some issues complained about are 1- they say it becomes too repetative too quickly 2-The voice over the main charictor is poorly executed 3-Hear the same comments over and over ect. And probably the worst is that they unveil the largest plot twist (wont spoil it dont worry) way too early in the game. Hilary Goldstein of IGN refered to it as if you were watching the movie "The Sixth Sense" and Bruce just told you he was a ghost it the begining. However I am not trying to bash the game at all. I just want to know who has purchased it what what are youre thoughts? But on the plus side the game LOOKS great from whever you explore. Plus I am really curious to see hoy their "new" combat system works. Too me it sounds a lot like what the guys over at LionsGate are doing with Fable 2.... Any comments??

It's a great game, but at the same time, I can't argue with the negative points you mentioned from reviewers, its very true.

Also, the combat system isn't anything new or innovative. It's good.

The graphics are mind-blowing, that's for sure, and so is the exploration of the world, and the music.

The story is very good, but the plot twist is almost told at the beginning of the game.

Overall, It's worth a buy I'd say, if you love exploring, free-running, and like games with time periods like that.
