Top 5 worst video games of all time!!

5. 'E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial'

Do you think that bad movie-based games are a recent phenomenon? Think again. “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” was a downright miserable interpretation of the popular film, so bad that it’s blamed, in part, for the video game crash of 1983.

4. 'Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing'

“Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing” has so many glitches that we wouldn’t blame you for thinking it was a beta test instead of the finished product. These bugs will allow you to drive your truck straight up a mountain or right through a building without even slowing down. But one thing you can’t do is actually race, as the computer-controlled vehicles never move from the starting line.

3. 'Shaq Fu'

“Shaq Fu,” starring basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal, is one awful fighting game. It has notoriously bad controls, yet forces you to hit your enemies in a specific spot for you to cause any damage. Plus, the game’s dialogue is horrible, and its plot is just plain laughable. Sorry Shaq, you may end up in the Hall of Fame one day, but your game is already in the Hall of Shame.

2. 'Superman'

“Superman” for the Nintendo 64 is a case study in what not to do when making a video game. Don’t let a title go to retail with so many bugs still in it, or with controls this clumsy and lethargic. Don’t make players perform tedious tasks, like flying through a row of rings, over and over again. Most importantly, please don’t ever make a game as bad as “Superman.”

1. 'American Idol'

Don’t confuse Codemasters’ terrible “American Idol” game with Konami’s similarly named “Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol.” They’re totally different experiences. Konami’s has you singing pop tunes into a real microphone, while Codemasters’ has you pressing buttons according to the graphics flowing across the screen. The biggest difference though is that Konami’s game is fun, while Codemasters’ is so bad that playing it could be considered a form of punishment.
