Perhaps a sign of the times and Rockstar Games saving some money for their parent company Take-Two, Rockstar has no plans to have a formal presence at this year's E3.

A representative for Rockstar Games told Xbox Evolved that, "Rockstar won't have a formal presence at E3 this year. In the past we've setup private off-site demos, but I don't even believe that's in the cards for '09. I'll let you know if anything changes, but as of right now nothing is scheduled."

While it isn't unlike Rockstar to be low key it is unlike them to not try to make some kind of splash even if not directly during the show. It is widely expected that Microsoft will reveal a trailer for the next episode of Grand Theft Auto IV content. While it hasn't been a secret that Rockstar would have no presence at this year's E3, it is still not widely talked about especially with a lot of confusion with what developers are doing this E3 that they haven't done in years past. Red Dead Redemption, and Max Payne 3 are the two main tickets Rockstar is working on currently besides GTAIV DLC and we can confirm that because of this news that they, along Grand Theft Auto V will not be shown in any capacity at this year's conference.
