Hi-Rez Studios announces gamescom line-up and next localized versions for Tribes: Ascend

Hi-Rez Studios, independent developer of AAA free-to-play online games, today announced its line-up for the upcoming gamescom 2012 scheduled for August 15th - August 19th in Cologne, Germany. Both Tribes: Ascend and SMITE will be playable on the show floor at partner booths (details are outlined below), and press can now pre-schedule appointments for interviews and to view exclusive, pre-release content for both titles behind closed doors in the business area.

As the German version of Tribes: Ascend (currently in beta) nears release, Hi-Rez confirms that Spanish and French versions are also on the way. Hi-Rez is keen to incorporate feedback from French and Spanish players in the beta phases, which will kick off shortly after gamescom.

“Our European community for both games has grown really rapidly, which is fantastic to see and we're working hard to add more support for non-English-speaking players. We are regularly adding new SMITE servers for Europe, and we're happy to have a beta German version to show at gamescom. French and Spanish versions will follow shortly after the show,” said Todd Harris, Chief Operating Officer at Hi-Rez Studios.

Hi-Rez Studios at gamescom:

Tribes: Ascend , the 'World’s Fastest Shooter' featuring jetpacks, skiing, vehicles, and team-based gameplay, will be playable at gamescom at the SK-Gaming booth (Hall 10.1, booth C 071) once a day - the timing will be posted to the SK-Gaming website shortly. Members of team .idk, the #1 Tribes: Ascend team in Europe, will be there to chat with Tribes fans.

SMITE adds a new twist to MOBA gameplay with a 3rd person camera and action skill-shot combat. At gamescom, SMITE will be playable at the SK-Gaming booth (Hall 10.1, booth C 071) once a day - the timing will be confirmed shortly on the SK-Gaming website. A competitive show-match on the ESL stage (Hall 8, booth B-060H) is scheduled for Friday from 1.15 - 3.15 p.m.
