And here I thought $199 $179 $129 was a good deal for Microsoft's Xbox 360 HD DVD drive. Amazon is now selling it for $79.99 with free shipping and 6 free HD DVDs. Now that's F^%king AWSOME!

I wonder if they are dumbing down the tech/materials like with the 1st xbox's.

I dont think that should be an issue because the HD player plugs in by USB, Wheras the 3 red lights of death is caused by overheating issues with the motherboard clamp, Therefore rinning a disc on a HD drive will keep the unit cooler because your not running the main disc driver...
