MULTI-PLATINUM ROCK BAND BREAKING BENJAMIN READY NEW RELEASE, DEAR AGONY,
THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED FOLLOW UP TO SMASH HIT PHOBIA

FIRST SINGLE “I WILL NOT BOW” TOP TEN AT ROCK RADIO TO BE FEATURED IN UPCOMING BRUCE WILLIS FILM ‘SURROGATES’ - ALBUM SET FOR SEPTEMBER 29 RELEASE

Los Angeles, CA – Multi-platinum rock band BREAKING BENJAMIN (Ben Burnley, vocals/guitar; Aaron Fink, guitar; Mark James, bass; Chad Szeliga, drums) have completed their fourth album for Hollywood Records with long-time producer David Bendeth. The album, titled Dear Agony, is set to release on September 29th.

The first single, “I Will Not Bow,” is already Top Ten at active rock and will be the featured song in the upcoming action thriller, Surrogates, starring Bruce Willis, due out September 25th. The video was shot at the World Trade Center in NYC with director Rich Lee (Evanesence, All American Rejects) and features band performance as well as clips from the movie.

This album will mark the third straight Breaking Benjamin/David Bendeth collaboration. The first two—2004’s We Are Not Alone and 2006’s Phobia—yielded spectacular results with each being certified Platinum.

We Are Not Alone spawned a pair of No. 1 radio hits (“So Cold” and “Sooner Or Later”) and sold 2.3 million units (albums and digital tracks). Phobia debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top 200, hit No. 1 on the Rock Album Chart and was one of the top 50 selling rock albums of 2006. It featured one No. 1 and two Top Five rock radio hits (“Breath,” “Diary of Jane,” and “Until The End”) and sold 2.8 million units (albums and digital tracks).

“It's been so much fun reconnecting with everyone musically. There has always been great chemistry when we get together, and this time was no exception,” said Bendeth. “We recorded the single "I Will Not Bow" in breakneck speed. I noticed right away that the band had not lost the desire to take chances. The sounds we have in the studio are so much bigger and better than any record we have made in the past.”

“Over the last seven years our fans have evolved along with the sound of Breaking Benjamin,” adds lead singer Ben Burnley. “They have come to expect only the best from us and we have been working tirelessly for the last year to bring them the best we can deliver. So, to the fans: get ready, for the next stage of the evolution of Breaking Benjamin!”
