More on the Rock turning down RAW, More News

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has turned down the offer to appear on the Monday Night RAW 15th Anniversary special this coming Monday. It is rather unfortunate that a guy like The Rock who helped make RAW popular along with the likes of Steve Austin, Triple H, HBK and others refused to show up on this special occasion. It was not revealed why the offer was turned down. While a schedule conflict or filming issues - assuming he's working on his next movie - is the possible reason, anything other than that doesn't sound good for the relationship between The Rock and the organization that made him a Superstar. The Rock was used in some promotional material for this show. (thanks to Colin Vassallo)
The 11/24 Raw show in Augusta, GA drew 4,000 fans and a live gate of $125,000. 11/24 in Knoxville did 4,800 fans and a $150,000 gate. 11/25 in Greensville, SC only drew 1,200 fans at the 16,000-seat Bi-Lo Center, the site of TNA's 2/10 PPV.

Hulk Hogan is latest person to feud with eleven-time Emmy Award-winning American comedian, television talk show host, author, celebrity blogger, LGBT civil rights activist, film, television, and stage actress Rosie O'Donnell. At an American Gladiators press conference on Thursday, a journalist asked Hogan which celebrity he'd like to see the American Gladiators take on, reports AccessHollywood.com. "Without a doubt Rosie O’Donnell," Hogan said. "Somebody needs to shut that big mouth up." Rosie actually posted a response to Hogan on her blog at Rosie.com yesterday afternoon. Rosie wrote, "Hulk Hogan, the wrestler guy, wants to pummel me. Isn’t that sweet, and wildly odd." Rosie then related Hogan to her arch nemesis, Donald Trump. "It’s like a gang of gross guys, a club almost, old, dumb, white and on TV," she wrote.
Even though she's been off television for a few weeks, Torrie Wilson is ranking on Yahoo's sports searches buzz list. She is No. 15 on Yahoo's top sports searches for Thursday. This is her third straight day on the chart. Torrie's getting more searches than the New York Yankees, New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Manchester United, among others. The only sports figures ahead of her are David Beckham, Maria Sharapova, Michael Vick, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Canada.com is running an article on Major League Baseball in regards to the Mitchell Report which connects several prominent names in baseball to steroid usage. The article is titled, “Baseball is Now as Bogus as WWE.”
The Boston Globe has an article today looking at a recent promotional appearance that ECW Champion CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, and Layla El did for charity. The article notes that Layla doesn’t just have one cell phone, she has two!
