to save a life!

less than 1/3 of bystanders who could save a life with CPR actually try. most are afraid of screwing up - i'd be more afraid of having a Sandlot moment with some old dude with black teeth.
luckily, studies show that just pushing down hard & fast on the chest (even better with some semblance of rhythm) can be as effective as conventional CPR.
so save a life, if you see someone collapse, push on their chest hard & fast. there are really only two things that can go wrong (broken breastbone from too much force, or if their heart is still beating and you use enough force you can screw up their biorhythms), but who cares as long as your state has a Good Samaritan law?
(note: you should try to take the pulse first, but sometimes it's so hard... i can't find mine right now
