Red Devils vs USA
The renowned Red Devils Challenge Team will be facing opponents from the USA at the inaugural UK M-1 Challenge event on September 27th.
Four National teams will compete in Nottingham, England in the 7th Edition of the 2008 season of M-1 Challenge, from M-1 Global. Warrior Promotions will be hosting and staging the event now and during 2009 when a new British Warriors Team will enter the tournament. MMA fans will for the first time be able to watch this International tournament never before witnessed on these shores and featuring;
• Red Devils vs USA
• Russian Legion vs Europe
• 2009 UK Team eliminator bouts
• Superfight – Wayne Buck vs Matteo Minonzio in a heavyweight rematch clash
M-1 rules will apply throughout the event where there are 2 rounds of 5 minute duration each. The fight will be held in the M-1 Ring as opposed to the Cage and each team will be looking to gain points for their national side. Point scoring is based on; WIN 3pts, DRAW 2pts, LOSS 1pt. The successful winning team will share a $50,000 win bonus at the end of the tournament.
UK MMA Legend Ian ‘The Machine’ Freeman & Red Devil Team Member & Coach, Aleksander Emelianenko and the young upcoming MMA star & current Cage Warriors Champion, Gegard Mousasi, who will be attending the event throughout, will be holding interviews and hosting a public seminar on the 26th September between 11.00 am & 2.00 pm.
The show itself is to be broadcast around the world and the programme will be aired on in the UK. Further details will be announced soon.

The M-1 Challenge is an international team competition for young talented upcoming MMA fighters to gain experience and be given the opportunity to fight internationally. The tournament is part way through its successful 2008 season with countries already taking part inc; Russia, Korea, Japan, USA, Finland, Spain, Holland. More countries will be added in 2009 including the UK. M-1 Challenge is owned and operated by M-1 Global.
