World Championship Fighting announces full fight card for Nov 14th show!
Boston, Mass. October 21, 2008 - World Championship Fighting today announced the full fight card for its November 14th show at the Shriners Auditorium in Wilmington, Mass. Included on the card is a matchup between the two best Middleweight (185lb) fighters in the North East in Justin Torrey (5-0) and Nate Kittredge (8-1). This fight pits the upstart Kittredge who just began competing in MMA in 2006 against Justin Torrey who has been fighting since 2003. Although Kittredge has more fights to his record, it is Torrey who is the more experienced fighter having already beaten the likes of Mat Santos and Alexandre Moreno, two highly touted prospects in the North East. This match will decide who the best middleweight fighter in the North East is and potentially earn that fighter a spot in a Pay-Per-View event. Kittredge vs. Torrey has the potential to be the biggest MMA fight to date in the North East.
Also included on the WCF5 fight card is the return of undefeated local fighter John Benoit (6-0). Benoit made a splash in the lightweight division at WCF4 by defeating Davin Wesinger. Benoit returns to action to face Jon "The Brutality" Bermudez who is coming off a win at WCF3 against Chris Grandmaison by way of armbar. Benoit will try to extend his record to a perfect 7-0 while Bermudez will look to knock off Benoit as the top 155 pound fighter in New England.
In another featured fight local MMA star Dan Bonnell brings his 4 fight winning streak into the ring against Dan O'Keefe. Bonnell is coming off of the biggest win of his career at WCF4 where he defeated Joe Cushman in 19 seconds and is looking to extend his winning streak to 5 in a row when he faces Dan O'Keefe. O'Keefe is coming off a win at WCF3 against Garth Krane by way of TKO. Making his debut for World Championship Fighting will be Greg Rebello, who is riding a five fight win streak with four of the five wins coming by way of Knock Out or TKO. Rebello looks to put himself on the map of top light heavyweight fighters with a win at World Championship Fighting 5.
The action happens live November 14th at the Aleppo Shriners Auditorium in Wilmington, Massachusetts.
