WEC FIGHTER KRAUSE AND RISING PROSPECT MARRIOTT TO BE FEATURED IN CO-HEADLINING ATTRACTIONS DURING DEC. 18 RETURN OF TITAN FIGHTING


Kansas City, KS -- Saturday, Dec. 18 will mark the triumphant return to Kansas City of the TITAN FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS (http://www.TitanFighting.com), which operated under the named Combat Sports Championship for one event on Oct. 2 due to trademark issues.

The return of Titan Fighting, which has promoted a total of 14 previous events, will feature co-main event attractions with 10-2 lightweight standout JAMES KRAUSE and 16-2 featherweight sensation ERIC MARRIOTT. Krause, a nationally recognized fighter who competes on the VERSUS Network for World Extreme Cagefighting, will make a special return to his old stomping grounds to take on Illinois native KALEL ROBINSON (9-3). Meanwhile, Marriott is set to square off with Omaha, Nebraska native SEAN "P-TOWN" WILSON (20-12).

"We're excited to be returning to the Titan brand," said Titan Fighting Championships President Joe Kelly. "As an MMA promotion, Titan has a strong history. This promotion has been the proving ground for established stars such as Jay Hieron (Strikeforce), Rob Kimmons (UFC), Alan Belcher (UFC), L.C. Davis (WEC), Kyle Bradley (UFC), Zak Cummings (Strikeforce), Bobby Voelker (Strikeforce), and Rudy Bears (Strikeforce)."

For Krause, his career has come full circle, as the Lee's Summitt resident began his career with the Titan Fighting Championships. However, he remains property of the WEC and must defeat win in order to retain his roster spot. He will have to protect what's his against a resurgent Mickle, who required just nine seconds on Nov. 25 to submit Will Shutt with an armbar during a Midwest Cage Championship event. The win allowed the Madrid, Iowa native to overcome recent losses to recent UFC signee Joe Brammer and newly-crowned WEC featherweight champion Jose Aldo.

Marriott could also be joining Krause as the latest Kansas City-based fighter to sign with a major national fight promotion, as a recent MMAjunkie.com report stated that the Lee's Summitt native has signed a contract with the Bellator Fighting Championships and will debut in April.

"We haven't been able to confirm the report that Marriott is Bellator-bound," Kelly commented. "However, it wouldn't surprise me if it were true. Eric has worked hard and has carried the blue chip prospect tag for quite some time. If he's going to Bellator, this could be Kansas City's last chance to see him in a regional setting."

Tickets for Titan Fighting Championships 15 for Dec. 18 (local start time 8 p.m. CT) are now on sale with the event set to emanate from the historic Memorial Hall in Kansas City, KS. The city and venue have been a recent hot bed for mixed martial arts action and the Dec. 18 event will continue the momentum.

"In just the past eight months, Kansas City and Memorial Hall have been host to an M-1 Challenge event, an M-1 Breakthrough event televised live on HDNet, and most recently, a Strikeforce Challengers event televised live on Showtime. Now Kansas City fight fans will get to witness the official re-birth of the Titan Fighting Championships on Dec. 18 and I couldn't be more excited," stated Kelly.
