What do you think about being in a division that already has Babalu and could end up with Tito Ortiz?

Thanks for being patient about the updates guys! As most of you know I recently got married and with the Strikeforce deal I have been extremely busy. So let's get to it.

The wedding went great and if you want to check out the pictures go to http://www.combatlifestyle.com.

I want to start off by saying thanks to all of the fans out there once again who sent e-mails to Strikeforce on my behalf. The Monster appreciates it! Sometimes people don't realize just how much influence the fans can have on who an organization signs and who fights who. To any of those fans out there who supported me, e-mail me at info@kevinrandleman.com and I will send you something as a thanks for your support.

Forum Questions:

Who else are you training BJJ with?

I am always going to be a student of John Lewis and I am going to continue rolling with him. I talk with Eddie Bravo and Joe Rogan (who is one of the most knowledgeable people in all of mixed martial arts) who have also been very helpful. It is all about being able to pass the guard and defend submission attempts.

Congratulations on the deal with Strikeforce. When do you expect to debut?

Now that it has been announced I can go ahead and confirmed that I will be fighting Mike Whitehead on June 6th. I'm very excited to be fighting in the US again and I can't wait to get back in the cage.

How soon do you expect to be in title contention?

Man let me tell you what, wins will take care of everything! There are so many great fighters out there and I have been out of the game for a while so there is a long line of people in front of me that I need to go through before we start talking about title contention. My main goal is to get a shot at some title and the only way to get there is by putting together wins. Winning fights is the most important thing right now.

What do you think about being in a division that already has Babalu and could end up with Tito Ortiz?

I have wanted to fight Tito Ortiz since 2000. It doesn't matter who I fight I am going to go into the ring and try to knock my opponent to fuck out! So when it comes to Tito or Babalu, it doesn't matter. I am coming back to this sport to win and take care of the business that I didn't take care of in the past. I am coming back to beat people’s asses and if it entertains the fans, than that is just a bonus. When I fight and win that will take care of the questions.

I want to address a few other things that come up recently. I was never offered a fight with Fejio Calvancante and I don't appreciate the people that make up those types of stories in an attempt to fire me up for headlines that they can use on their little Internet site. Those people out there in Internet land that have accused me of ducking people are dead wrong and the people that facilitate those lies are garbage.

Dan Severn is slated to fight this month and Don Frye recently had his comeback fight. Obviously the two guys are never going to get the opportunity to fight a Brock Lesnar but I think it is great that they are still in the fight game. They may not be fighting for any titles but it is very cool to see that they are still able to compete in mixed martial arts. This may be a dangerous sport but these guys should be able to compete against whoever they want as long as they are physically capable.

The Rashad Evans and Lyoto Machida fight is coming up and I think this is going to be a great fight. I am a wrestler and I think that the right person will be able to catch Machida. He moves around so much that you really have to keep your attention on his lead leg and avoid his karate to get the take down. Most of his opponents had just tried to get out of the way and I think that Rashad will do that a couple of times until he gets hit. Then Rashad is going to close that distance and take him down. I am pretty sure that Greg Jackson is putting on a great camp and if Rashad performs and follows the gameplan he will win this fight. Not just because he is a wrestler but because he is quick, fast and he has a lot of talent.

I want to end this time with another big thanks to all the Monster fans out there! Keep the questions coming and I will try to answer them leading up to my fight. I will see you in St. Louis!
