2 Part Question for you Kevin:

1) Do you prefer the cage or the ring?

2) What country that you have been to has the most knowledgeable fans?

Thanks

In your opinion will 'Shogun' be able to come back after multiple knee surgeries?

:?:
What do you expect? The comedian is dead.

Sorry for being a day late and a dollar short, I am in NYC!!

thanks for the information. I will start next week and see if it makes a big difference.

So? How is it going? You should change it up after a couple of weeks. Try doing the running for 2 weeks and then the stair stepper for 2 weeks. Each time you go back to the elliptical, move up atleast 2 levels.

What did you think of the Affliction show?

I called each one of the fights almost to the tee. I am a guy that is impressed by guys that go out there to fight. I was impressed by almost every fighter that fought that night at Affliction. Fedor is one of the best fighters in the world and you should not go into a fight with him if you don’t want to win, you shouldn’t even get into the ring. It was a great show and don’t be surprised to see the MONSTER in Affliction sometime in the future.

2 Part Question for you Kevin:

1) Do you prefer the cage or the ring?

2) What country that you have been to has the most knowledgeable fans?

Thanks

Ok Thanks,
1. I prefer the cage. In the cage your opponent can’t run or hang onto the ropes. In the cage I put people down on their backs and generally they don’t get up. I have only lost 2 or 3 fights in the cage. The ring is better for fighters that are defensive not offensive, I am a better fighter in the cage.
2. The most knowledgeable fans in the world are from Brazil. They have been doing this shit for a long time. The most cordial fans are in Japan. Fans that boo during a fight are shit and they have no idea how much it takes to go in there and fight. I have fought in Japan in front of 100,000 fans and I could hear my heart beating in the ring with the silence. Some fans don’t appreciate how hard the fighters fight and there can’t always be a KO. Strategy is involved in every fight. A lot of people sit ringside or on their couch and think they could perform better, COME TO MY GYM and see how well you perform. If you can fight then do it, don’t disrespect the fighters that are in there doing it! The fights are getting better and so are the fighters so expect more in the future.

What do you think about Mark Coleman's consideration regarding dropping to 205?

It is a great move for Mark. Bottom line is that there is going to be 225lb class and he can fight at that. When he goes down to 205, I don’t see many people that can beat him. He can take anyone down and if he lands punches your done!

what does your family think of your profession? and what do you plan on doing after your fight career is over?

I have been doing speaking and wrestling seminars for kids, I hope to continue that. I have the first MMA gym opening up in Columbus, Ohio and it will be ready for the UFC and the Arnold Classic. After my career is over, I have had lots of offers including American Gladiators. I was on the show until that nasty staph infection. Right now all I want to do is fight. I am only 30 hours short of my college degree so I am currently working on finishing that.

I am also going into business with Buster Douglas. There is a biography movie going on about Douglas and I am playing Mike Tyson so that is really cool. There is a lot of good stuff going on and eventually I will be writing my own biography about the crazy things that I have gone through in my life. My life has been a series of up and downs mixed with crazy shit and a new beginning.

As far as my family goes, they love what I do. They laugh and say that you are doing the job that you were meant for after coming home as a kid dirty and bloody from fighting.

SINCE MOVING DOWN WHO IS THE TOUGHEST OPPONENT FOR THE FUTURE FOR YOU?

MYSELF! Everyday. Nothing against anyone I fight but if you don’t see yourself as your toughest opponent, then you won’t succeed and you will never be a champion. I think I can still be the UFC 205lb Champion. Everyday I have to deal with myself and that is harder than any opponent I fight!

In your opinion will 'Shogun' be able to come back after multiple knee surgeries?

Of course he will come back. He knows how to fight but he might not be as strong because with a knee injury you can’t run, you can't work your legs which is very important and so you will not be as strong initially. It takes 8 months after surgery to get to 100%, some people don’t understand. You need to work that tendon slowly until it catches up with the ones you didn’t injure. He’ll be fine, count on it!

Thanks again, SEE YOU IN AWHILE!
