WCMMA 11 - Results and Recap
WCMMA showcased more southern amateur talent yesterday as no less than 5 titles were on the line for their 11th show. In the main event Peter Adamski took out Anthony Gooch in emphatic fashion with a flurry of strikes early in round 1 to become new middleweight champion. In the co main event Gio Marchese ground out a close decision win over Nicolas Michalewicz to become the new UK1 bantamweight champion.
Hascon Neri Gelezi took a decision win over Mervin Pobi for the interim welterweight title. It was a great fight where they went toe to toe, and Gelezi vs current champ Scott Moore will be a cracker. Dominic Wooding became flyweight champ defeating Edward Fairburn by decision. Displaying Jon Jones cross with Conor McGregor-esque skills, the future looks bright for young Wooding. Jordan French took home the featherweight title after controlling Dean Simmonds against the cage for the most part. Both were tentative in the stand up and in the 3rd round Simmonds had a little success with some jiu jitsu.
