Max Nunes Signs Exclusive Multi-Fight Deal with BAMMA

The UK's premier Mixed Martial Arts promotion, BAMMA, is proud to announce that Light Heavyweight Max Nunes will be joining the BAMMA ranks for an exclusive 3 fight deal ahead of BAMMA 12, which takes place at Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena on 9th March.

Undefeated London based Swede, Max 'Power' Nunes, is set to return to the BAMMA cage with a professional MMA record of 9-0-0. Demolishing Kevin Thompson via TKO at 1:40 into round 1 at BAMMA 11, the explosive Nunes achieved the 8th 1st round finish of his career and made waves internationally. Nunes has only ever ventured once into the 2nd to score a Submission victory over Iain Martell in the only loss of Martell's career. Nunes stepped up in competition when he debuted at BAMMA for BAMMA 10 against the heavily more experienced Tony Moran to finish him with a Triangle Choke at 2:58. Nunes is currently in the United States training at the Alliance Training Centre.

Max Nunes said:

"I'm feeling great right now and my training is going really well. I can't wait to get back into action at BAMMA. It's great to be fighting for such a great promotion. I always go for the finish and fans can expect me to be bring everything I've got to the BAMMA cage in 2013."

BAMMA's Managing Director, Ashley Bothwell, said:

"Max Nunes is one of Europe's burgeoning stars and is touted as a future world class contender. He impressed international audiences on the televised card at BAMMA 11 and grabbed people's attention due to the fact that he's an exceptional athlete and a fierce fighting talent: His fitness is unreal and he's one those rare guys to whom fighting technique seems to come as naturally as breathing. He's incredible to watch. We are thrilled to welcome Max to the BAMMA roster and look forward to a string of dazzling Light Heavyweight bouts this year."

BAMMA 12 will feature on Channel 5 and 5* in the UK; and will be televised on AXS-TV in the US, The Fight Network in Canada, Red Media in Russia, TV Esporte Interativo in Brazil and Setanta in Africa.
