Shinobi MMA Announces 'Shinobi War II' on May 31


Shinobi MMA Fighting Championships is pleased to officially announce that it will return on Saturday 31st May 2014 with Shinobi War II. The event will be held at the 1,200 capacity Deeside Leisure Centre in Queensferry, North Wales.

After an extremely successful debut show in November 2013; the promotion is looking to build on that success and has promised exceed all expectations with the second Shinobi War.

Ste Passey (Shinobi MMA FC Matchmaker) said, "What we accomplished in our debut show was unprecedented in amateur MMA. We certainly set the bar high. Now the challenge it to go one step further and push the boundaries. We are coming back with a monstrous card for Shinobi War II that you will not want to miss!"

Shinobi MMA Fighting Championships aims to provide a quality all amateur MMA event that showcases the best amateurs from across the region. The promotion endeavours to look after each and every fighter by providing an experience that is on par (if not better) than most professional UKMMA shows. Furthermore, no expense is spared on the set-up and production and the cage is custom built. Once again Shinobi MMA Fighting Championships will offering the best amateur bonus package in UKMMA today.

All of the bouts for Shinobi War II will be fought under the Unified Amateur Rules with each bout consisting of 3 x 3 minute rounds. Details of the fight card will be announced in due course.

Light Heavyweight Bout Added to Shinobi War II


Shinobi MMA Fighting Championships is pleased to announce the addition of Light-Heavyweight bout to Shinobi War II. The bout will feature Saul Buivy vs. Piotr Chyska. Saul Buivy fights out of Team Sweeney MMA and will be making his debut at Shinobi War II. Saul has been training for a few years at Team Sweeney so we can expect him to have a very strong wrestling game. Piotr is currently 1-0 and trains out of Beyond Black Belt. He made his debut at Shinobi War I were he dominated the grappling exchanges on route to a unanimous decision victory.

Ste Passey (Shinobi MMA FC Matchmaker) said, “I am looking forward to seeing how this fight unfolds. On paper these guys are evenly matched. We saw how strong Piotr’s ground game was at the first Shinobi War and Saul is training under some of the best wrestling coaches. This makes for an intriguing match-up.”

Craig Kelly vs. Reece Parker Added to Shinboi War II


Shinobi MMA Fighting Championships is pleased to announce the addition of a lightweight bout to Shinobi War II. The bout will feature two exciting prospects in the 155lbs division in the form of Craig Kelly and Reece Parker.

Reece "The Viking" Parker fights out of HAMMA under the guidance of Sean Martin. Reece is a huge lightweight and previously fought at welterweight. Reece is known for having heavy hands, but in his last outing showcased his ground game earning a submission victory of Jason O'Conner at ACB 9.

Craig Kelly holds an impressive record of 5-2 and is another talented fighter training at the Full Contact Performance Centre with Martin Stapleton. In Kelly's last fight he blasted Hayden Shariff scoring the TKO in just 25 seconds at FCC 9.

"I am really excited to see how this fight plays out. Both HAMMA and FCPC are producing a stream of young talented fighters at the moment. It is always good to see gyms like these go head-to-head."

Shinobi War II will take place on Saturday 31st May 2013 at the Deeside Leisure Centre, Queensferry, North Wales.



Williams-Puskarskis Added to Shinobi War II on May 31


Shinobi MMA Fighting Championships can officially announce the addition of a middleweight bout to Shinobi War II. The contest will feature Lee Williams vs Igor Puskarskis and will form part of the Main Card.

Lee Williams fights of Kaobon and holds an impressive 5-1 amateur record. Lee is a strong well-rounded fighter and possesses some serious knockout power.

Igor Puskarskis fights out of Team Elite under the watchful eye of Andy Brocklebank. Even though Team Elite is a tradionally striking gym Igor has a solid ground game and holds an unbeaten 5-0 record.

"Igor and Lee are two of the best amateur 185lbs fighters around. At Shinobi MMA Fighting Championships our goal is to pit the best against the best and this fight is exactly that."

Light Heavyweight Bout Added to Shinobi War II


Shinobi MMA Fighting Championships is proud to announce the addition of a Light Heavyweight bout to Shinobi War II. The fight will feature Joe Cook vs Ross Pope. Joe Cook fights out of HFFS and has a 1-0 amateur record. Joe made is debut at the first Shinobi War were he won via TKO. Ross Pope fights out of Beyond Black Belt and has a 2-0 record. Ross is the current GPUK Light Heavyweight Champion, winning that title in his last bout.

Ste Passey (Shinobi MMA FC Matchmaker) said, "Both Joe and Ross are relatively new to the world of MMA and on paper match-up very well. However, Ross beat Joe's teammate last year and I know Joe will be looking to avenge this loss."

Rigby vs. Derwin Latest Addition to Shinobi War II


Shinobi MMA Fighting Championships is proud to announce the addition of a Light Heavyweight bout to Shinobi War II. The fight will feature Nathan Rigby vs Steve Derwin. Nathan Rigby fights out of HFFS and made a successful debut at the first Shinobi War. Nathan is the type of fighter that likes to leave it all inside the cage. Steve Derwin is another fighter hailing from Beyond Black Belt. He has been training MMA for a few years and will be making his debut at Shinobi War II.

Ste Passey (Shinobi MMA FC Matchmaker) said, "Not a lot is known about Steve Derwin, but we know that everyone from Beyond Black Belt comes with a solid skill set. Nathan Rigby is an aggressive fighter and will certainly look to test that skill set as well as Steve's resolve."

Johnson vs. Lester Latest Addition to Shinobi War II


Shinobi MMA Fighting Championships is proud to announce the addition of an exciting lightweight class to Shinobi War II. The bout will feature Aaron Johnson vs Jamie Lester and will serve as part of the Main Card. Aaron Johnson has had mixed fortunes inside the cage and holds a 4-3 record. Johnson has fought some of the best guys around proving he is willing to mix it with anyone. Having trained at several gyms in the past he has recently found a home at Blackledge MMA. In his last fight he overwhelmed Team Elite's Alan Hunt in a catchweight contest. Jamie Lester fights out of Evade Martial Arts. He now holds 2-0 record after going unbeaten fighting at amateur B and C levels. He is a strong grappler and recently took bronze at Grapple Nation.

Ste Passey (Shinobi MMA FC Matchmaker) said, "I am really looking forward to this fight. Aaron Johnson has vastly improved since going to Blackledge MMA and Jamie Lester is a solid technical fighter. This fight will be amateur MMA at its finest."

Moogan vs Zabitis Lightweight Bout Added to Shinobi War II


Shinobi MMA Fighting Championships can now reveal the addition of a lightweight bout to Shinobi War II. The contest will feature Jay Moogan vs Rob Zabitis. Jay Moogan is another fighter hailing from HFFS. Jay will be making his debut at Shinobi War 2. However, he is no stranger to combat sports having competed extensively as an amateur boxer in a youth. Rob Zabitis fights out of Team Elite and holds a 2-1 record. Rob is 19 years old and when not fighting inside the cage he is known to compete in K1 to stay busy.

Ste Passey (Shinobi MMA FC Matchmaker) said, "As Jay Moogan comes from a boxing background we know he will have very good hands. However, Rob Zabitis represents a tough debut for him. Jay's coaches must certainly have confidence in their fighter."

Radcliffe vs. Cassell Middleweight Bout Added to Shinobi War II


Shinobi MMA Fighting Championships is delighted to announce the addition of a middleweight bout to Shinobi War II. The bout will feature Jim Radcliffe vs Dan Cassell. Dan Cassell fights out of Wolfpack MMA. Dan is a very experienced fighter holding an impressive 7-2 amateur MMA record. Last time out Dan earned a hard fought unanimous decision victory over Piotr Adamczuk at Caged Fighter 7. Jim Radcliffe fights out of SGB in Manchester under the watchful eye of Karl Tanswell. In Jim's last bout he took on Dan Stoddard at Rage in the Cage 3 where he won via TKO in the first round.

Ste Passey (Shinobi MMA FC Matchmaker) said, "Jim and Dan are both talented fighters from very good gyms. Dan may have significantly more experience, but this won't be the first time Jim has fought someone with significantly more experience. I assure you this fight is more evenly matched that it appears on paper."
