Cage Warriors Plans Hectic Summer Schedule
CAGE WARRIORS Fighting Championship has an exciting and hectic upcoming fortnight on its schedule.
This coming Thursday the organization hits Bahrain, where Gael Grimaud will defend his welterweight belt against TUF veteran Jesse Taylor.
Just over a week later, on June 2, Dublin will host two title bouts at Cage Warriors 47, as Mike Hayes puts his heavyweight strap on the line for the first time against fellow Bellator veteran DJ Linderman, while Conor McGregor takes on Dave Hill for the vacant featherweight belt.
Cage Warriors had penciled in another show for June 16, but this has now been rescheduled for London in November due to a combination of the forthcoming TUF trials and logistical issues beyond our control.
On July 21, CWFC returns to our London home, the HMV Forum in Kentish Town, where Victor Cheng and Pavel Kusch will bring the middleweight title tournament to a climax. There will also be a host of top domestic talent in action.
“All in all, it’s a very exciting period for Cage Warriors,” said Patrick Vickers, CWFC’s Director of Talent Relations.
“While it’s never ideal for us to reschedule any of our events, this is the best option for us in the circumstances as it will allow us to maintain the high standards people have come to expect from Cage Warriors.
“We’ve got three shows on our calendar inside the next two months so I can assure fans that their appetite for top quality action will be more than satisfied.”
