Jim Alers Commits to Cage Warriors Fighting Championship
CAGE WARRIORS can announce that Jim Alers has committed his immediate feature to the organisation.
Alers (8-1-0), who hails from Fort Lauderdale in Florida, has signed an exclusive five-fight deal to cover an 18-month period.
The 25-year-old featherweight scored the most notable victory of his career to date at CWFC Fight Night 6 in Bahrain on May 24 when he defeated Matteus Lahdesmaki, ranked in Europe's top 10, via second round TKO.
"Fighting for Cage Warriors in Bahrain was a great experience and I can't wait to get back in there again. I'm really happy to have signed this contract," said Alers.
Cage Warriors CEO Graham Boylan added: "We're always looking to sign the best guys around to exclusive contracts and Jim showed in Bahrain that he definitely falls into that category.
"He's already got plenty of experience under his belt but he's still only 25 so I think the best is still to come from him.
"I said recently that there are five Cage Warriors contracts up for grabs at the moment and Jim Alers is a worthy recipient of the first one of them."
