AURELIO INJURED; BRADLEY STEPS IN TO FACE ARAUJO FOR EPIC MAIN EVENT

Paul “The Gentleman” Bradley (20-4), who appeared on the UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter, will step in to fight Valdir “BBmonstro” Araujo (10-3) in the main event of Championship Fighting Alliance’s CFA 08 at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fl. October 6, 2012.

In addition to Araujo vs Bradley, the fight card will include the co-main event Toby Imada vs Luiz “Buscape” Firmino; Frank Carrillo vs. Charles Blanchard; Tony Christodoulou vs. Yosdenis Cedeno; Patrick Cenoble vs. Michael Trujillo; Haendar Rodriguez vs. Josh Mercado; Oscar Delgado vs. Roy Jones; Gabriel Varona vs. Jayson Jones; Alex Poulsen vs. Maurice Salmon; Danny Chavez vs. Chino Duran; Jacob Brunelle vs. Michael Lilly; Jason Gladley vs. Michael Nates and Pablo Alfonso vs. Patrick Williams.

Originally, Araujo was scheduled to fight UFC veteran Marcus Aurelio. The veteran suffered an injury, during training.

CFA CEO and founder Jorge De La Noval said this will be a blockbuster main event.

“Injuries occur all the time; it’s inevitable. However, we value our promotion and fans and always promise to deliver something better than what was scheduled. I think Paul Bradley is a tougher opponent for Valdir,” he said. “This is a guy who has fought for Strikeforce and the UFC and is 20-4. He is also a true welterweight. He doesn’t have to cut weight. This will be by far a fight for the ages.”
