Bryan Caraway vs. Alvin Cacdac
Caraway (8-2) enters first to "Jump Around" by House of Pain. Caraway is on a six-fight win streak. Cacdac (4-3) comes out next, entering tonight's fight on a two-fight win streak.
Round One
Caraway immediately takes Cacdac down and transitions to his back. Caraway locks in a body triangle and works for a choke. Caraway sinks in the choke and Cacdac fights. Referee Herb Dean steps in to call a stop to action.

Stack (4-1) enters first to Dropkick Murphey's. Stack enters the fight riding a win. Palacios (3-0) enters next to DMX, undefeated. Palacios notably trains with Strikeforce middleweight champion and San Shou world champion Cung Le.
Round One
Stack is aggressive, but eats a leg kick. Stack continues to charge Palacios, but throws ineffective strikes. Palacios counters with kicks and punches. Palacios lands a right counter knocking out Stacks mouthguard. Stack shoots for a takedown but is stuffed. Palacios continues to counter with kicks and punches, but is careless and Stack scores a single-leg takedown. Stack struggles to work ground and pound while the crowd chants "Bobby, Bobby." Palacios goes for a kimura from guard. Stack regains position and throws some punches. The round ends. PDG scores round one 10-9 for Palacios.
Round Two
Stack immediately takes Palacios down. Palacios establishes butterfly guard. Palacios uses the fence to get back to his feet, but Stack takes him back down, working strikes from guard. The crowd continues getting behind Stack while he remains in Palacios' guard. Palacios looks for another kimura, but nothing is there. Stack moves to half-guard then quickly goes for an armbar. Palacios escapes and is on top of Stack, moving to half-guard. The round ends. PDG scores round two 10-9 for Stack.
Round Three
After touching gloves Stack scores a slam and works for Palacios' back. Palacios looks for a toe hold, but Stack moves to mount. Palacios has an overhook and an underhook, but can't buck Stack off. Stack postures up and throws punches before being pulled back down. Palacios tries to buck Stack again, but fails. Stack continues to maintain position, throwing occasional punches. Palacios escapes out the back and lands elbows to Stack's body. Stack regains top position in a scramble, ending up in Palacios' guard. Stack works ground and pound until the final bell. PDG scores round three 10-9 for Stack and scores the fight 29-28 for Stack.

Chris Cariaso vs. Anthony Figueroa
Cariaso (6-1) comes out first riding the sole loss of his professional career. Cariaso holds a previous win over Figueroa in June 2007 by unanimous decision. Figueroa (4-2) comes out next. Like Cariaso, Figueroa enters the fight coming off of a loss.
Round One
The two feel each other out, then each miss kicks. Cariaso scores a trip takedown and begins working in Figueroa's guard. Cariaso throws punches then moves to half-guard. Cariaso then moves to side control and maintains dominant control. Cariaso moves into mount and maintains position despite frantic bucking from Figueroa. Cariaso works for an americana, but Figueroa escapes and moves to his feet. Cariaso scores another takedown, landing in Figueroa's guard. Again, Cariaso moves to half-guard then side control. During a scramble Cariaso looks for a guillotine, then sprawls on Figueroa. Cariaso works back to half-guard, then easily into side control. Cariaso carelessly looks for mount and eats a knee as both fighters return to their feet. Cariaso strikes into the clinch and the two break as the round ends. PDG scores round one 10-9 for Cariaso.
Round Two
Cariaso throws a couple kicks that are blocked by Figueroa. Cariaso then scores yet another takedown, landing into Figueroa's guard. Cariaso once again moves to half-guard then side control. Figueroa spins around, getting back to guard. Cariaso stands and throws some punches. Cariaso stands again, throwing punches and coming down into half-guard. He easily moves to mount. Cariaso smothers Figueroa, then works an americana. Figueroa escapes. Cariaso postures up, throwing punches. Figueroa gives up his back and Cariaso works for the choke. Figueroa spins back into mount. Cariaso lands punches, taking Figueroa's back and sinks in a choke, forcing a tap out.

Raymond Daniels vs. Jeremiah Metcalf
Metcalf (84) comes out first to Nickelback. Metcalf enters the fight riding a three-fight win streak. Daniels (0-0) comes out next. Daniels is undefeated as a WCL champion, but makes his MMA debut tonight.
Round One
Metcalf immediately ties up with Daniels and clinches along the fence. Metcalf works some footstomps and knees to the thigh. Metcalf fails a trip, but stays clinched along the fence. Metcalf scores a takedown and lands in a guillotine choke in Daniels' half-guard. Metcalf escapes the choke. Metcalf works strikes from the top. Metcalf switches to half-guard on the other side, then full mount. Daniels tries to buck, but Metcalf remains in position and throws a flurry of punches. Metcalf lands strikes as the round ends. PDG scores round one 10-9 for Metcalf.
Round Two
Metcalf ties back up with Daniels and takes him down near the fence. Metcalf immediately moves to mount and begins throwing punches. Metcalf looks for an arm-triangle, but loses it. Still in mount, Metcalf throws punches. Daniels tries to strike from the bottom, but Metcalf postures up and rains down punches. Daniels gets his feet against the fence, but Metcalf works for a triangle choke from mount. Daniels escapes, but in the scramble Metcalf takes his back and immediately locks in a rear naked choke, forcing a tap.

Elaina Maxwell vs. Meisha Tate
Tate (1-1) comes out first to Linkin Park. She enters the fight coming off a KO loss to Kaitlin Young in the second round of a one-day tournament with BodogFIGHT. Maxwell (2-2) comes out next, cornered by Strikeforce middleweight champion Cung Le. Three of her four professional fights have been against the same opponent. She enters the fight riding a win.
Round One
Maxwell tries to throw a kick, but Tate ties up, bringing her to the mat. Tate sits in Maxwell's guard. Maxwell tries to work rubber guard incorrectly and loses guard. Tate tries to mount, but ends up in half-guard. Tate slips her knee out and obtains mount. Kenny says Tate is "trying to tenderize some 'Beef' in this first round," referring to Tate's ground and pound against Elaina "Beef" Maxwell. Tate works for an armbar. Maxwell tries to slam her way out, then ties up Tate's head with her legs. Tate breaks Maxwell's grip and secures the armbar, but the bell sounds before Tate scores the submission. PDG scores round one 10-9 for Tate.
Round Two
As the opening bell sounds Tate rushes back in and trips Maxwell down. Maxwell works rubber guard, but again does so incorrectly. Maxwell closes her guard, but Tate slides a knee through, working for mount. Tate secures mount again. Tate lands punches while Maxwell looks like a fish out of water on her back. Maxwell tries to buck, but continues eating punches. Maxwell uses her legs to snatch Tate's head and twist her. Tate releases mount and escapes the scissor lock, moving to side control. Tate holds position until the bell sounds. PDG scores round two 10-9 for Tate.
Round Three
Tate immediately looks for another takedown after the two touch gloves. Tate holds Maxwell against the fence. After a minute of no action Tate looks for a takedown, but doesn't commit. The crowd boos at the lack of action and the referee separates them. Tate ties back up with Maxwell and pushes her to the fence. Maxwell takes Tate's back. Tate turtles while Maxwell hooks an arm. Maxwell tries to pry Tate's arm free, but Tate defends until the final bell sounds. PDG scores round three 10-9 for Maxwell and the fight 29-28 for Tate.

Bobby Southworth (c) vs. Anthony Ruiz (Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Championship)
Ruiz (20-10) enters first to Disturbed's "Sickness". Ruiz enters the fight on a six-fight win streak, including a win over Southworth in November. The original fight ended because of a cut, but was not a title fight. Southworth (8-5) enters next, cornered by Trevor Prangley. Southworth originally won the title by defeating Vernon "Tiger" White in December 2006. His last fight was a loss to Ruiz.
Round One
Southworth ties up quickly with Ruiz against the fence where he scores a takedown, landing in half-guard. Southworth moves to side control easily. Ruiz rolls, giving up his back. Ruiz throws punches over his shoulder into Southworth's face. Southworth works slowly, throwing occasional punches and looking for the choke. Ruiz quickly spins and ends up on top, in Southworth's guard. Ruiz pushes Southworth to the fence, but they return to their feet. Southworth presses Ruiz against the fence. Southworth succeeds with a single-leg takedown and lands in Ruiz' half-guard. Ruiz explodes out but is caught in an armbar. Ruiz stands over Southworth, defending his arm. Ruiz ends up in an omoplata, but rains knees into Southworth's back. Southworth transitions into a loose triangle and Ruiz looks for ground and pound as the bell sounds. PDG scores round one 10-9 for Southworth.
Round Two
Ruiz looks for a leg kick and hook, but comes up short. Ruiz stalks Southworth, throwing a wild punch nowhere near his opponent, then rushes in, pinning Southworth against the cage. Ruiz scores a takedown along the fence. Southworth scrambles to his feet, but Ruiz puts him on his back again. Ruiz lands punches but Southworth works his way back to his feet, pressing Ruiz against the cage. Southworth gets a takedown, once again in half-guard. Southworth moves to side control and peppers Ruiz with a couple ineffective strikes. Both trade knees to the body. Ruiz rolls into Southworth, but is forced onto his back. Southworth goes for mount but is reversed, with Ruiz in his guard. Ruiz keeps Southworth from standing, controlling his hips and landing occasional punched. Southworth throws a quick triangle choke, but Ruiz spins out. During the scramble Southworth ends up on top, back in half-guard. Southworth works towards mount as the round ends. PDG scores round two 10-9 for Southworth.
Round Three
Ruiz throws punches into the air then takes Southworth down along the fence. Southworth uses the fence to get back to his feet, but Ruiz is wrapped around his back. Southworth turns back into Ruiz and spins out. Ruiz pushes Southworth into the fence and scores another single-leg. The crowd gets restless as Southworth sits in half-guard. Southworth explodes into full mount. Ruiz gives up his back, but Southworth begins to slide off his side. Ruiz is on top in Southworth's guard, pressing him into the fence. Ruiz' nose is bloodied. Southworth gets back to his feet where he heats a knee to the body. Southworth turns Ruiz into the fence, returning the knee and scoring another takedown. Ruiz looks for a guillotine choke, but Southworth pulls his head out. The round ends with Southworth in Ruiz' half-guard. PDG scores round three 10-9 for Southworth.
Round Four
Ruiz moves in for a takedown, but Southworth rotates out. Southworth connects with punches, but Ruiz clinches back up along the fence. Southworth spins to Ruiz' back, then trips him, landing into mount. Ruiz rotates and leans against the fence, but Southworth stays on him, working punches. Ruiz stands back up, pressed against the fence. As the crowd boos Southworth scores another takedown, landing into Ruiz' wide-open half-guard. Ruiz spins and scrambles back to his feet. Both exchange punches and Southworth finishes with a knee and left punch. Ruiz scores a single-leg takedown, but Southworth looks for a kimura. Ruiz survives the submission and works strikes from Southworth's guard. Southworth looks for a kimura on the otherside, but gives up, instead standing back up. Southworth takes Ruiz down and lands in side control. The round ends without action. PDG scores round four 10-9 for Southworth.
Round Five
The two touch gloves as the final round begins. Ruiz throws wildly, but Southworth evades. The two clinch up and Southworth scores another single-leg takedown. Ruiz works an ineffective guillotine choke from the half-guard position. Southworth lands punches Ruiz' body from the top, then moves to side control where he pops his head out. Ruiz tries to get back to his feet, but Southworth stops him. Ruiz gets back to his feet with another effort, but is controlled along the fence. Southworth scores his tenth takedown of the fight. Southworth looks for a kimura from half-guard. Southworth gives up on the submission and moves to side control. Ruiz gets back to half-guard, but leaves his guard wide-open. Ruiz scrambles to his knees and tries to stand, but Southworth pulls him down, taking his back. Ruiz spins, gaining top position, but an armbar threat forces him to give up his back again. Southworth tries for a choke as the bell sounds the close of the fight. PDG scores round five 10-9 for Southworth and the fight 50-45 for Southworth.

Billy Evangelista vs. Nam Phan
Evangelista (6-0) comes out first to Rage Against the Machine. Evangelista is undefeated in pro MMA with four stoppages. Phan (14-4) enters the ring next, coming out to Kanye West. Phan enters the fight riding a two-fight win streak, both ending by TKO.
Round One
The two trade strikes. Evangelista clinches with Phan, landing knees along the fence. Evangelista takes Phan down and lands punches from guard. Phan scrambles to his feet, but Evangelista brings him back down, controlling his hips against the fence. Evangelista continues to land strikes from guard. Phan looks for submissions, but Evangelista remains active. The crowd boos, understandably after the Southworth/Ruiz fight, then Evangelista lands a flurry. Round one comes to a close. PDG scores round one 10-9 for Evangelista.
Round Two
Both exchange punches, and Evangelista lands a leg kick. Phan throws haymakers, knocking Evangelista into the fence. Phan lands a knee and hook. Evangelista shoots in, but is stuffed. Tied up along the fence Evangelista throws knees to Phan's body. Phan secures underhooks and turns Evangelista into the fence before separating. Phan continues to throw everything into his punches. Evangelista keeps Phan at bay with front kicks. Phan continues to press forward, throwing power shots. Evangelista's mouthguard falls out, but action quickly resumes. Evangelista shoots in, bringing Phan down along the fence. Phan tries to stand, but Evangelista controls his hips. Phan gets back to his feet and lands elbows to the side of Evangelista's head, opening a cut. Evangelista takes Phan down, landing into guard. Phan lands strikes from the bottom, while defending Evangelista's. Round two comes to a close. PDG scores round two 10-9 for Phan.
Round Three
Phan continues looking for the knocking, connecting with Evangelista's head. Evangelista shoots for a single-leg, pushing Phan against the fence. Phan turns Evangelista into the fence and lands knees, then separates. Both fighters trade power shots. Evangelista loses his mouthpiece again. Evangelista appears tired, but shoots in again. Against the fence, Phan is taken down by a single-leg, but scrambles back to his feet. Evangelista continues looking for the takedown, eventually scoring it. From Phan's guard Evangelista lands punches. Referee Herb Dean stands both fighters back up with one minute remaining. Both fighters continue trading strikes. Phan lands a combination and stuffs a takedown. Evangelista throws a pair of headkicks and shoots, failing the takedown. Against the fence both fighters land knees and uppercuts. The bell signals the end of the fight. PDG scores round three 10-9 for Evangelista.

Gilbert Melendez (c) vs. Josh Thomson (Strikeforce Lightweight Championship)
Thomson (14-2, 1 NC) comes out first to a mix of Lil John, Rihanna, Jay Z, featuring "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne. "The Punk" is on a six-fight win streak, finishing five of the fights - four by submission. Thomson enters the fight following surgery on his shoulder which is described as not quite at 100% yet. Melendez (14-1) enters next to the biggest applause of the night. He earned his Strikeforce title by defeating Clay Guida in June 2006. Melendez enters the fight following a TKO win over Gabe Lemly in March.
Round One
The two touch gloves and round one begins. Melendez throws a pair of punches and Thomson answers with a leg kick. Melendez pressures "The Punk" into the fence and looks for a takedown. Thomson defends and lands a knee. Thomson rushes in himself and takes Melendez down, landing in guard. Melendez shrimps and looks for a way back to his feet, but Thomson maintains pressure. Thomson throws punches but is hugged by Melendez. Melendez lands ineffective punches to the back while Thomson stays inactive in half-guard. Thomson lands some shoulders to Melendez' face. After a scramble Melendez ends up on top against the fence. Thomson works back to his feet and lands a knee to the body of Melendez. Thomson throws a leg kick and Melendez answers with a right punch. The round ends following ineffective strikes from both fighters. PDG scores round one 10-9 for Thomson.
Round Two
Thomson immediately lands a leg kick. Melendez stalks Thomson, throwing jabs. Thomson lands kicks to the body and head. After a failed takedown by Melendez, Thomson lands a knee to the head. Melendez presses Thomson into the fence in search of a takedown. The two separate and Melendez lands a right. Thomson becomes more aggressive, throwing kicks and a superman punch. Melendez attacks aggressively with punches and looks for a takedown while Thomson throws knees. Thomson lands knees to the body and a front kick. Thomson now stalks Melendez and lands a pair of jabs, then a flying knee. Thomson connects with a spinning back kick to the body, and a hook to the head. Melendez moves forward and trades hooks with Thomson. Thomson continues to pick Melendez apart with his jab and low kicks. Thomson scores a takedown just before the bell sounds. PDG scores round two 10-9 for Thomson.
Round Three
Thomson lands leg kicks as Melendez moves forward. Thomson lands kicks and punches, backing up Melendez. Thomson defends a takedown and lands a knee, then a combination. Melendez desperately shoots and Thomson sprawls. After circling each other Thomson slips, but gets back to his feet. Both fighters trade jabs and continue circling. Thomson lands another leg kick and a cross. Melendez counters with a cross, but misses a jab. Thomson lands a front kick to the body. Thomson lands an outside leg kick. Thomson misses a head kick and eats a hook. Thomson stays inside and trades with Melendez. Melendez keeps pushing forward, landing a right and missing a left. Thomson answers with a left hook, then shoots for a single-leg. Against the fence Melendez is pulled to his butt where he elbows Thomson in the head. Herb Dean warns Melendez about the illegal strike. Thomson jumps onto Melendez' back, but is dumped off. Back on their feet, the round ends without incident. PDG scores round three 10-9 for Thomson.
Round Four
Both fighters trade ineffective strikes, but Melendez moves forward. Melendez unleashes a brief flurry. Thomson lands another kick - his thirty-seventh by Kenny's count. Thomson lands another pair of kicks and stalks Melendez. Melendez throws hooks, but cannot find his range. Thomson connects with a front kick, followed by a body kick. Thomson continues landing kicks while Melendez moves in. Thomson lands two more leg kicks, followed by a kick to the body. Thomson continues to back up and circle, avoiding strikes from Melendez. Against the fence Thomson throws kicks to keep Melendez at bay. Thomson avoids a clinch and the two move back to the center of the ring. Melendez lands a couple jabs then eats a knee. Both fighters trade strikes but Thomson scores with kicks. Thomson shoots and takes Melendez down, landing in side control. Thomson tries to take Melendez' back, but a scramble ensues. Thomson stands over Melendez, then drops down, taking Melendez' back again. Thomson was close to locking in a fight ending rear naked choke, but Melendez escapes moments before the bell sounds. PDG scores round four 10-9 for Thomson.
Round Five
Thomson opens the final round with another body kick. Thomson looks for a takedown, scoring it along the fence. Melendez rolls to his knees and stands back up. Melendez lands a pair of jabs, but nothing too effective. Thomson moves forward landing leg kicks. Thomson smothers Melendez against the fence, killing time. Melendez pushes forward throwing punches. Thomson has blood coming from his nose. Desperate, Melendez throws wildly but eats knees to the face. Thomson shoots and takes Melendez down, but can't keep him there. Melendez throws bombs but is picked apart by Thomson. Thomson takes Melendez down, but again it returns to the feet. With thirty-seconds remaining they are tied up against the fence.
