Nate Diaz vs. Josh Neer via Split Decision (29-28,29-28,28-29)

Round 1:
Low inside leg kick by Neer to start, and Neer with the takedwon, now looking for a submission and takes Diaz'z back. Diaz gets up and Neer slams him back down, Diaz back up with Neer on his back and he reverses and Diaz holds Neer against the cage. Back to the center now standing, Diaz pushes Neer to the cage and throws combo after combo, wizzar and Diaz throws Neer down and works from half guard, now standing above Neer, strikes from Diaz and he goes down and gets Neer's back as the round ends.

Round 2:
Diaz comes out swinging, but Neer gets a takedwon from the clinch and Diaz reverses and gets the takedown. Upkick by Neer and DIaz looking to land from above, Neer lands some more upkicks and gets up and gets on Diaz's back again. On the ground in back control is Neer but Diaz escapes and is now fighting from his back with Neer standing over. Neer gets back control again and is landing strikes and elbows. Diaz is able to get back up, combos by Diaz ala his brother - peppering, Neer clinches and holds Diaz against the cage.

Round 3:
Diaz gets a takedown, Neer gets loose but is still on his back and Diaz moves in and works from the guard, Neer gets back up and Diaz takes him down again and gets mount, Neer escapes and Diaz is standing above again looking to land strikes. Both fighters scramble, back to their feet and Neer has Diaz's back standing and they go to the ground and back up again. Diaz throws Neer down again and the fight ends.





Clay Guida vs. Mac Danzig via Unanimous Decision (30-27,29-28,29-28)

Round 1:
Danzig lands some combo jabs, left high kick by Danzig blocked by Guida and he lands some low leg kicks. Guida shoots in but Danzig blocks the attempt pushes Guida against the cage, overhand right by Danzig lands. Combo by Danzig coming forward and Guida counters with a double leg takedown, Guida works from Danzig's guard but Danzig escapes, Guida picks him up and slams Danzig to the mat. Another slam by Guida as Danzig tries to get up, Danzig looking for subs from his back and Guida is landing GNP.

Round 2:
Both fighters exchange strikes to open the round, right jab by Danzig and Guida catches his leg on a kick attempt and chases down Danzig and lands a few strikes and gets the takedown, Danzig escapes. Back standing and both fighters looking for a striking advantage, Guida shoots again and gets the takedown but Danzig stands right back up, straight right by Danzig, low kick by Guida and he shoots but can't secure the takedown. Danzig lands a couple more rights but Guida attempts another takedown and gets its, slams Danzig and gets his back, Danzig rolls and Guida is in side mount as the round ends.

Round 3:
Guida trying for a takedown and holds Danzig against the cage, both fighters throwing jabs and Danzig gets the takedown and goes for the kimura....Guida escapes and takes back control, throwing knees into Danzig's mid section and he has Danzig pinned against the cage on his back. Guida now in back control, back to the guard now and Guida will not let go of Danzig, total control by Guida for the last 3 minutes of this fight.





Ed Herman vs. Alan Belcher via Split Decision (29-28,29-28,28-29)

Round 1:
Herman goes for the takedown and Belcher blocks it, Belcher clinches Herman against the cage, back to the center now. Herman lands a couple of left jabs and Belcher responds with a body kick and a left, Belcher with a stright left and a right low kick. Herman charges and they clinch against the cage again, again the ref moves to the center again and they exchange strikes. Uppercut by Herman but he still can't get the fight to the ground, Herman finally gets the double leg takedown and works from Belchers guard and goes for a darce choke but Belcher escapes and stands up. Herman gets another double leg and is looking for a submission as the round ends.

Round 2:
Herman lands a nice right hook as they exchange to start the round, Belcher lands a big left jab but can't follow up. Both fighters exchange combos standing, Herman lands a elbow and a right hook, Belcher comes back with an overhand right, Herman backs up and Belcher moves in. Belcher starting to win the striking game as he lands right after right, Herman counters a leg kick with 2 right hooks and gets the takedwon and works from Belcher's half guard. GNP by Herman, Belcher escapes and takes some knees on the way up, Herman lands a left hook and Belcher a superman punch as the round ends.

Round 3:
Herman shoots and misses, left jabs by Belcher, right-left combo by Herman and they clinch against the cage. Straight left by Herman, counter rights by Belcher, spinning elbow by Belcher and Herman goes for the takedown, and he finally gets the double leg and moves to side guard. GNP by Herman but Belcher escapes again and lands a low kick followed by a right jab. Herman gets another takedown and mounts Belcher, Herman lands some shots and the fight goes to the judges.






Houston Alexander vs. Eric Schafer via Submission - Arm Triangle Round 1 (4:53)

Round 1:
Schafer goes for a takedown and gets hit with 3 knees from Alexander, who follows it up with GNP, Schafer is in trouble and they stand back up . Schafer charges for another takedown and Alexander lands another knee, clinching now against the cage and Alexander continues with the knees. Schafer finally gets a takedown and moves to side control, Alexander tries to escape and avoids a guillotine but Schafer mounts him. GNP by Schafer, more elbows and strikes from Schafer and the ref may stop this....Alexander can do nothing from the bottom and Schafer sinks in an arm triangle and the fight is over.

UFC Fight Night produces very exiting and quality events lately so props to "them"

Preview will be up tomorrow and maybe some guest fighter picks on Diaz vs. Neer!

BTW:

"--Dana White said this morning that they will be dedicating Wednesday night's live show on Spike from Omaha, headlined by Houston Alexander vs. Eric Schafer, to Evan Tanner and that they will be airing an Evan Tanner TV tribute show on Spike. White said they've also put together 30 second tribute spots for Tanner that will be airing soon."

That Morris guy was a friend of Elvis:

Elvis Sinosic – “I will say my buddy Brad Morris is fighting on the undercard (and fingers crossed that the match gets shown). He’s trained hard for this fight, but the UFC has given him another tough unknown fighter who is a potential rising star. I think this time Brad will rise to the occasion!”

I hope Alessio can pull off the victory..........
