On Sunday 9 November 2008 GLORY 10 will be held in Arnhem, Holland. As always, GLORY 10 will be a mix of MMA/Shooto and Muay Thai matches.
Because of GLORY’s 10th anniversary, the line up will be exciting like never before! No less than 4 title fights will be held that night: 2 European title fights (Halim Issaoui vs Jan de Keyer and Dion Staring vs Markus Halkosaari) and 2 World title fights (Akdeniz vs Dascalu and Gökhan Saki vs Michael McDonald).
The main event will be:
Gökhan Saki (K-1 Hawaii 2008 winner) vs Michael McDonald (K-1 USA 2002 & 2004 winner)
and
Alistair Overeem (Strikeforce World Champion) vs Gary “big daddy” Goodridge (K-1 Hawaii 2005 winner & IVC champion)
Gökhan Saki (63-9-0) is undeafeted for 2 1/2 years, winning most of his fights by KO or TKO (11 of his last 14 fights)! Michael “the black sniper” McDonald (51-16-0) on the other hand is a very dangerous striker as well as he defeated Mirko CroCop by KO before!
Big Daddy Goodridge is always someone to watch. With more than 72 fights under his belt, he remains dangerous for anyone stepping up! Goodridge: “Some people think I don’t have it in me anymore, but I am training hard and on November 9 I will be ready for Alistair Overeem, as a matter of fact, I am ready now, so bring it on”!
Alistair “the demolition man” Overeem is in the best shape of his life recently. He made a good choice by moving to the heavyweight class as he became the current Strikeforce heavyweight champion defeating Paul Buentello. In DREAM he defeated Korean Lee Tae-Hyun by KO and dangerous New Zealand striker and former K-1 champion Mark Hunt! So Gary Goodridge is in for a war!
