Cheick Kongo vs. Mustapha al-Turk
Round 1
Al-Turk throws a jab but is caught off balance by a Kongo counter. Kongo catches a kick from Al-Turk and sends him to the mat with a straight punch. After a few kicks to the legs, Al-Turk quickly stands to his feet. Al-Turk looks for the takedown and clinches along the fence with Kongo. They exchange knees with each other along the fence while battling for superior position. Al-Turk accidentally lands a low blow and referee Steve Mazzagatti calls a time out, warning him. When they come back out Al-Turk strikes to the clinch, but Kongo takes control and lands a low blow of his own. Mazzagatti calls a time out and is overheard saying to Kongo "I hope that was an accident." Kongo appears indifferent over the shot and commentator Mike Goldberg questions his motives. Mazzagatti calls the fighters to the center of the ring and encourages a clean fight. Kongo misses a kick at the restart, but hurts Al-Turk with a punch. Rushing in, Kongo drops his opponent against the fence and falls into his guard, throwing punches and elbows. Kongo opens a big cut on Al-Turk's face and continues throwing punches until Mazzagatti calls a stop to action.
Quinton "Rampage" Jackson vs. Wanderlei Silva
Round 1
The two start out feeling each other out. Instead of finding their range with jabs, the two step in and trade haymakers, then move back out. Silva finds his place with inside leg kicks. Both fighters appear tentative, waiting for the other to make a move. Jackson looks for a takedown and eats a knee for his trouble. Silva continues landing leg kicks as the round goes on. Silva moves in aggressively throwing wild haymakers, and during the exchange is knocked out by a left hook from "Rampage". Referee Yves Lavigne jumps in to stop the bout at 3:21.
C.B. Dollaway vs. Mike Massenzio
Round 1
Massenzio enters the ring with his knee heavily taped up and a slight limp. Dollaway opens the fight with a body kick. Massenzio looks for the takedown, but eats some knees for his trouble. Dollaway misses a big kick, then lands big punches on his opponent. Massenzio answers back with big shots, hurting Dollaway. Dollaway tries for a takedown, but Massenzio goes for a guillotine choke. Dollaway pulls his head out and tries to go to work in Massenzio's guard. Massenzio goes for a triangle choke, but Dollaway escapes. Dollaway works weak shots from guard before standing and throwing a big punch. Dollaway works to full mount against the fence. Massenzio rolls, avoiding an elbow but giving up his back in the process. Dollaway begins throwing punches. Referee Yves Lavigne calls for Massenzio to defend himself, but with no action he is forced to call a stop to action.
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Frank Mir (UFC Interim Heavyweight Championship)
Round 1
Mir opens the fight with a head kick attempt, and follows up with two leg kicks. Mir lands a nice lead uppercut, and follows up with more clean strikes. Mir trips Nogueira and works punches from the former PRIDE champ's open-guard. Mir stands back up and continues landing kicks and punches. Mir is the busier striker, throwing combinations with his hands and leg kicks. Mir lands a big punch, dropping Nogueira. Mir tries to finish Nogueira, but the Brazilian controls his posture. Mir stands back up. Mir lands more punches, including more lead uppercuts. Clinched up, Mir lands knees then separates. Mir throws a kick, then takes the best shot yet from Nogueira - a jab. Under thirty seconds remaining in the first round, Nogueira lands a combination against the fence. Mir drops Nogueira at the end of round one with a combination, including the lead uppercut he has been throwing all round.

Round 2
Mir comes out throwing a body kick, followed by punches. Mir backpeddles then launches another series of punches, mostly missing. Mir lands another lead uppercut. Nogueira feels out the distance with his jab, but is backed away by Mir's punches. Nogueira lands a couple inside leg kicks. Nogueira lands a jab before getting rocked again by Mir. Mir continues throwing punches and drops Nogueira for a third time. On the mat, Mir throws a barrage of punches and referee Herb Dean is forced to call the first stoppage loss of Nogueira's career. Mir claims the UFC interim heavyweight title with his win.
Forrest Griffin vs. Rashad Evans (UFC Light Heavyweight Championship)
Round 1
Both fighters come out bouncing, feeling each other out and waiting for the other to make a move. Evans throws ineffective punches while Griffin misses with a kick. Griffin looks to set up mid and low kicks with punches, but can't find his mark. Griffin ducks under a right hook from Evans and lands a kick, followed by a leg kick then a body kick. Evans lands his first notable strike of the fight with a big leg kick. Griffin triples up his jab to no effect, but lands a leg kick. Griffin connects on a straight punch and continues throwing kicks. Griffin throws his punches in combinations, and continues to mix in kicks. Evans lands a body shot and counters a combination with a kick. Griffin continues landing leg kicks and connects with another series of punches. Evans switches to southpaw stance and avoids two headkicks. Evans returns to his normal stance and each fail to miss in an exchange. Evans lands a jab-hook combination. The crowd begins chanting "Forrest, Forrest" and Griffin lands a big body kick while Evans tries to land punches. Evans switches to southpaw again while Griffin misses with a kick and a superman punch.

Round 2
Evans tests his range with jabs while Griffin misses a head kick. Griffin misses another kick and Evans trips into the fence. Evans checks an inside leg kick but eats a stiff jab from Griffin. Evans connects with four solid jabs, but Griffin returns with a hook-kick combination. Griffin continues to push forward, landing punches. Tied up in the clinch Griffin lands a series of knees before Evans drops his hands and sends a kiss towards Griffin. Evans lands a lead hook while Griffin lands a leg kick. Once again, Evans with a jab and Griffin with another leg kick. Evans begins smiling before dodging a combination from Griffin. Evans lands a jab-hook combo, but eats a pair of leg kicks. Evans lands a kick of his own, but he continues eating counters from Griffin. Evans lands a big right hook during a kick from Griffin, but the damage appears to be minimal. Griffin continues throwing kicks with each leg and at various levels. The round ends with Griffin landing a superman punch.

Round 3
Round three picks up where one and two left off until Evans grabs a kick from Griffin and takes the fight to the mat. Evans throws big punches into Griffin's face, almost ending the fight. Griffin ends up closing his guard. Griffin opens his guard and shifts for a kimura, but is not close to anything significant. Evans moves to half-guard but appears to be stalling. Evans lands a big elbow and ends up back in Griffin's guard. Griffin does a good job controlling Evans' head and wrist. Evans lands big punches from within Griffin's guard and hurts the champ. Referee Steve Mazzagatti doesn't immediately stop the fight, but eventually has no choice but to step in. Griffin wobbles to his feet and pushes his way to Evans, congratulating the new UFC light heavyweight champion.
