Mirsad Bektic def. Cody Carrillo at 3:12 in 3rd Rd by Tapout (RNC)
Bektic said, "I got it done, its the longest I've been in the cage, it's usually first round finishes for me. I feel like I hurt him. Now it's time to go back and keep training with Mike Brown, one of the best in the world."
Fabio Mello def. Josh Huber at 3:26 of first round by TapouT (side-choke)
Mello: "I knew I would beat him and that I'd finish him in the first round. I have never trained harder and my team the Blackzilians had me so ready. I will fight anyone, anyone at 145."
Junior Hernandez def. Kevin Croom via split decision
Hernandez: "This was a well earned victory, it was a tough fight. I have a huge sense of relief and this win just reinforces why I do all of this, you know getting high fives, and the congratulations from everyone. I wasn't good at a lot of things growing up, but I found I could scrap, and I found a love for this sport. I'm trying to enjoy my win, and I'm gonna look forward to my next fight."
Joe Ellenberger def. Jesse Zeugin at 1:16 of third round via Tapout (RNC)
Ellenberger: "I knew it was gonna be a tough fight, a guy that like doesn't take a fight unless he thinks he can win it, I knew he would be dangerous. I knew it would be a scramble but I expected to finish him. Jake was telling me going into the third round I had to take it up a notch. I found an opening, and I got the finish."
Co-Main Event:
Joe Wilk def. Andrew Carrillo at 2:01 of the first round by Tapout (guillotine choke)
Wilk: "I wanted a convincing, definitive win tonight, and I got it. I feel like I'm carrying Kansas on my back, I want to be the first guy to get into the door of the UFC. I want to lead the way in the Wheat State to the Octagon, so KC fans I'm grateful for your support. Please keep coming to my fights and keep driving this incredible sport in our state."
Main Event:
Jorge Santiago def. Leonard Pecanha at 1:48 of the first round via TKO (Strikes)
Santiago: "It was good to be back as the main event and for there to be no decision and to finish the fight. It was my plan to knock him out, I was waiting for the right moment and I got it in the first round. I love the fans in Kansas City, there was such a great energy here, I would live to come back here anytime. A big shout out to the Blackzilians back in South Florida, Rashad Evans and Miguel Torres, it's your turn next."
